Fandom Daily: What was it like living and working with other adult content creators on House of Heat

Steph Mi: “I wouldn't label us as 'adult content creators'; we're simply content creators. Living and working with 8 other creators was wild, fun, and motivating. I never imagined having so many roommates at this stage in my life, but it turned out to be an incredible experience.”

Fandom Daily: How did your daily routine change while filming the show?

Steph Mi: “The struggle was real. I never had a strict schedule before filming, but I had to make some major adjustments. Finding a dog sitter, arranging for a nanny, and balancing home life all became essential as I tried to manage the chaos of being away.”

Fandom Daily: Can you share any behind-the-scenes secrets or interesting stories from the filming process?

Steph Mi: “Interestingly, I got really sick a couple of weeks before filming started, and throughout the show, I had to visit several specialists. I know some viewers thought I was missing in action, but it’s wild that none of that was shown. Also, I want to emphasize that the show is truly unscripted. There was so much drama happening behind the scenes that they couldn’t even fit it all into the season.”

Fandom Daily: How do you feel about the way the show’s edit portrayed you?

Steph Mi: “I was definitely nervous about how I would be portrayed, but I can say that nothing shown on the show is false. I’m a genuine person—both a guy's girl and a girl's girl. I focus on my business, being a mom, showing empathy, being apologetic, and staying out of drama. But if someone crosses the line and steps on my toes repeatedly, they’ll see a different side of me—the pit bull in me.”

Fandom Daily: What motivated you to join House of Heat

Steph Mi: “I’ve been asked before to be on reality TV, but I was always hesitant. Growing up in front of cameras, in the print world, and theater, I never aspired to be that kind of 'star.' However, when the producers and I connected, we fell in love with the idea of showcasing me as a mom, creator, and successful entrepreneur. That vision is what ultimately motivated me to join House of Heat.”

Fandom Daily: Were there any specific goals you wanted to achieve by participating in the show?

Steph Mi: “My main goal was to achieve growth—both for my business and personally. I wanted to expand my knowledge, connect with different personalities, and experience more love and support in various forms. However, there were a few hiccups along the way. I was sick and lethargic, and I lost my Instagram account, which was crucial for bringing creators to collaborate at the house and securing brand deals for myself and my housemates. There was also some drama because I did something on the show that my housemates and I thought would be helpful, but it ended up having the opposite effect. That was unmotivating and marked my tipping point.”

Fandom Daily: How has your connection with your fanbase changed since being on the show?

Steph Mi: “The show just ended, and I’m already seeing a lot of new faces, especially on Twitter. At this point, they aren’t just fans—they’re strangers who invest their time to be entertained by the lives of others with jobs that seem out of the ordinary. They’ve become like new virtual friends, and I truly appreciate them. It’s touching to have people who know nothing about me reach out and show support, especially when some of my own friends haven’t even watched a second of the show. Their support really hits close to my heart.”

Fandom Daily: What kind of interactions or feedback have you received from your fans about your role in the show?

Steph Mi: “I read both the negative and positive feedback because, at the end of the day, you could be a saint and someone will always find a reason to dislike you. I like to see what people think. The negative feedback motivates me to improve, while the positive feedback not only inspires me but also reinforces my drive for more success. The majority of viewers loved seeing me as a 'mompreneur,' and that support really means a lot to me.”

Fandom Daily: What was your experience like watching the show back after filming?

Steph Mi: “Watching the show back was a bit different because I knew there was more to every story than what was aired in each episode. They heightened a lot of the drama, but I have to say they did a great job of making the stories and chaos make sense. It was definitely chaotic for the cast, but I also feel for the production team—they had a lot to handle, too!”

Fandom Daily: How did you handle the drama and conflicts that arose in the house?

Steph Mi: “Honestly, I stayed out of the drama—that’s just who I am. It wasn’t about trying to portray a certain image; it’s simply how I handle things. I have more important things to focus on and didn’t have the energy to waste on other people’s drama. Unless something directly involves me, I prefer to stay out of it. But when it does involve me, I make every effort to resolve the situation like an adult, until it reaches a boiling point where I have to stand my ground. My clapback game is unreal.”

Fandom Daily: Did you notice any significant shifts in your follower demographics or engagement?

Steph Mi: “There are so many variables that play into this. I got my Instagram back right before the episode aired, and I was doing everything in my power to rebuild engagement—interviews, podcasts, content, collaborations, and more. So yes, I did notice significant shifts in my follower demographics and engagement, but it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what caused it since I was working on multiple fronts.”

Fandom Daily: What is your favorite memory or moment from the show?

Steph Mi: “My favorite memory from the show was having my daughter come on. I received some backlash for it, but honestly, that was my decision, and I understood the situation fully. The house was well aware of how to behave, and it turned out to be a truly memorable moment for me.”
