Brian Nahuel Paiz: "We spent the night together, we consumed drugs because the truth is that something intimate happened."
In a surprising turn of events, Brian Nahuel Paiz, a former restaurant waiter, is breaking his silence on his alleged involvement in the events leading up to Liam Payne's tragic death.
Paiz, who met the former One Direction star on October 2 while waiting for him in Palermo, Argentina, insists he never supplied drugs to the singer. The two first crossed paths at a restaurant, where Paiz says Payne already appeared to be under the influence, noting that the singer didn't eat during the visit.
"I never supplied Liam with drugs. Liam's first contact with me was at my place of work," Paiz told the Daily Mail. "We swapped details and saw each other later that night. It was all normal."
He continued, "I've heard people saying he was taking drugs, but the truth is that when he got to the restaurant where I was working, he was already under the effects of drugs, and he didn't actually eat anything."
Despite Payne's affected state, they hit it off, exchanged contact information, and later met up again in Payne's hotel room. Before the two crossed paths once again, Paiz claimed that the superstar messaged him several times on Instagram and confessed that he already consumed narcotics.
Paiz admits that during that second encounter on Oct. 13, they did use drugs together and spent what he described as an "intimate" evening at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.
"We spent the night together, we consumed drugs because the truth is that something intimate happened," he recalled to the outlet. "He wasn't aggressive at all, he behaved really well with me, he was really sweet. He asked me if I was okay. I've got all the messages where we arranged that second meeting. I haven't erased anything," he added.
Paiz described Payne as "attentive" during their time together. He added that Payne offered him gifts, including money and clothing, although Paiz claims he never accepted anything. While their interactions remained friendly, Paiz insists he was not involved in supplying drugs to the singer and had no part in Payne's drug use.
"I have messages where he's offering me money because he was apparently used to offering money for everything, but I never accepted anything," Paiz shared. "When I left, he wanted to give me some clothes so that I had a memory of being with him, but I left it behind the TV because I didn't want to take it."
Since news broke, Paiz has lost his job amid the investigation but remains adamant about his limited role, saying he never acted as Payne's supplier. As authorities continue to investigate the singer's passing, Paiz's statements add a new perspective to the unfolding story.
Fan Of View: Fans are buzzing with a theory that Payne may have been hiding a private side of his life. According to Paiz, who's now under investigation after Payne's passing, the two shared an "intimate" evening, during which Payne offered him gifts and money that Paiz says he declined. Some fans think these offers might have been "hush money" to keep their night discreet. While Payne has only dated women publicly, this speculation raises questions about his sexuality and whether he kept parts of himself hidden from the public eye.
