A newbie to the scene, the singer-songwriter has been making music for several years before her breakout country debut. As the artist of her artistic journey, Dasha was attending Belmont University. At the pandemic's start, Dasha dropped out and turned to making music, which led to the discovery of her then-pop sound. In 2023, the crossover artist released her debut album, Dirty Blonde. 

As country music is known for its storytelling within a song, Dasha jumped into the genre headfirst. This past February, she released her debut country album, What Happens Now?, which scaled No. 2 on the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart and peaked at No. 124 on the Billboard 200. 

'Austin' Goes Viral

The single "Austin" was released back in November 2023, which was the kick-off to her country music journey. After a massive viral dance routine broke TikTok, the singer-songwriter started seeing the song instantly gain massive attention across the globe. With over 10 billion views on TikTok, the breakout star has found her home at her label, Warner Records. The song has claimed the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart to No. 5 and gained a spot on the Top 40 of Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 20. 

The Road from CMT Awards to Nissan Stadium

At the peak of her song performance, Dasha attended the CMT Awards in Austin, Texas, for her television award show debut. The performer was joined by several dancers throughout the stage for a special and well-thought-out performance of "Austin." With that performance under her belt, Dasha made appearances across the board. Over the last few months, she made pop-up performances at Stagecoach, Hangout Festival, and several others across the globe.

A couple of weeks ago, the singer, performer, and songwriter debuted at CMA Fest in Nashville, TN. While she was found all across downtown with performances at several pop-up locations, including a special DJ set with Brandi Cyrus and Lainey Wilson, the viral artist made her Nissan Stadium debut.

On Saturday night (June 15), Dasha made her Grand Ole Opry debut. Earning a standing ovation, she stripped down her viral single "Austin" with her most raw and personal performance yet. The emerging country-pop crossover artist also performed "Talk of the Town," featured on her debut country album. 

In a press release, Dasha shared: “It was such an honor to get to step into that circle. The Opry is the home of country music and from the second I stepped in the building, I could feel the magic that everyone always talks about."
