The Eras Tour is almost complete but not without a heartfelt goodbye from the Swifties.
As Taylor Swift concludes her historic Eras Tour, our co-founder and resident Swiftie, Marie Levitsky, penned a heartfelt letter of gratitude, celebrating all the joy Taylor has brought to her fans this year. Now, we're inviting the Fandom Daily community to join in! Write your own letter of thanks to Taylor and share it on social media. Let’s fill our feeds with appreciation for the woman who has given us so much. Don’t forget to tag us with #FandomDaily, and we’ll feature your letters on FandomDaily.com!
Dear Taylor,
This weekend marks the grand finale of your Eras Tour in Vancouver, and though words can never fully encapsulate the gratitude I feel, I want to try. Over the past two years, you’ve given us more than just music and memories—you’ve given us a piece of yourself. And for that, I can’t thank you enough.
Not a week goes by without me telling friends, family, or even just myself how deeply proud I am of you. Growing up alongside your music, watching you ascend to a global stage with unparalleled grace, humility, and passion, has been nothing short of extraordinary. It’s an experience I’ll treasure forever. I know you “gave your blood, sweat and teasrs for this” journey, and believe me—it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
In two years, you’ve achieved what many couldn’t in a lifetime: 152 shows, 15 countries, 2 re-released albums, and 1 anthology album. You’ve endured rain-soaked nights (which I know hold a special place in your heart), canceled shows, the heartbreak of losing fans, the joy of witnessing proposals, and even threats that would rattle anyone. You’ve navigated the highs and lows of public relationships, celebrated monumental moments like storming the field at the Super Bowl, and even met the Royal Family. This tour has brought challenges and triumphs in equal measure—moments that we, the swifties, have lived with you, breath by breath, heartbeat by heartbeat.
When you launched the Eras Tour in 2023, I embarked on a journey of my own: starting a business. In those grueling days filled with doubt, small victories, emotional breakdowns, and hard-won triumphs, you were my north star. Your music, livestreams, and tireless work ethic became my refuge and my inspiration. If you could perform four-hour shows three nights a week while re-releasing albums, creating new music, and producing films, then surely I could keep going too. In a way, you became my silent mentor, my confidant, and a big sister.
At 32, your music has been the soundtrack to every milestone in my life. Through high school heartaches, my first big move, falling in love, career shifts, and friendships gained and lost, your lyrics have been a constant companion. Yet, these past two years have been especially healing. Reliving your eras has allowed me to reframe old memories and replace pain with joy.
For example, Speak Now used to transport me back to my lonely freshman year in college, navigating a broken heart in an unfamiliar city. But with Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), those memories were rewritten. The album’s release coincided with the day my brother proposed to his now-wife, a day filled with love and laughter as my sister and I prepared to welcome a new sister into our lives. Your music has an uncanny ability to transform, to heal wounds we didn’t even realize we carried.
Your Eras Tour has been a gift beyond measure. I had the privilege of experiencing your magic in Philadelphia and Stockholm, and though I was tempted to follow you to countless other shows, I reminded myself of what you might say: to save for dreams bigger than the moment.
As this chapter closes, I want you to know your Eras Era has been my favorite. No matter what you decide to do next, I promise I’ll stand by you forever but if, God forbid, fate should step in, and force us into a goodbye, If I have children someday, I’ll point to the pictures and tell them about the time I traveled the world to see you, I’ll tell them about how I would wait all night for surprise songs to start even in different time zones, I’ll show them the 6 minute standing ovation video after you sang Champagne Problems, and I’ll tell them about swifttiehood.
Sincerely,
Marie
