It's a moment of pride for all country music fans, as Ashley Cooke clinched (April 7) the prestigious Breakthrough Female Video of The Year award for her single "your place" at the 2024 CMT Music Awards. The TikTok sensation turned country music's hottest star was in a tough category with other inspiring women, including Anne Wilson, Brittney Spencer, and Tigerlily Gold.

Cooke's win does not come as a surprise, as she cultivated a passionate and supportive fandom. The fans had the power to vote and choose their favorite breakthrough artist. The music video for "Your Place" was directed by ACM Award-winner Justin Clough and displays Cooke's storytelling soul. It also captured the raw emotions of her song and her personal journey of resilience and self-discovery after a toxic breakup.

The Big Loud vocalist sported a breathtaking turquoise two-piece gown while accepting the trophy. Cooke expressed her gratitude, saying, "I'm just taking a moment to soak this in because I have dreamed of winning an award like a CMT Award for so long."

She continued, "This is my very first CMT Award and award in general, so thank you so much." Cooke also gave her sister a shout-out, her date for the night.

The song "your place," released as the lead single from her album Shot in the Dark, was described as an empowering breakup anthem filled with confidence, inspired by Cooke's own experiences with infidelity. She gained attention with her debut single "Never Til Now," a duet with Brett Young, which peaked at number 49 on the Billboard Country Airplaychart. Cooke's talent and resilience continue to earn her recognition in the country music scene.

Fandom Daily recently spoke to Cooke in an interview about her recent accomplishments, where she shared her gratefulness for Kenny Chesney's support throughout her career: "We immediately connected and became friends. He's one of those guys who likes to mentor younger people, which is really cool to get to be like a beneficiary of that," she explained. "One of the things he said that really hit me, and I put this in my life now, is, 'It's not about racing to whatever the thing is and then taking a break. Instead of sprinting, find a stride to get to where you want to go and get your snacks along the way. Hit your friends and fans along the way, run a little slower, run a little faster. It's a marathon, not a sprint.' It's as cheesy as that saying."

The CMT Award-winning recently returned from touring overseas with Jordan Davis. She is now shceduled to bring her talents to massive markets in the United States and Canada.
