Bravoholics are glued to their feeds after West Wilson opened up about the tense Summer House season 10 reunion, but many fans say his explanation doesn’t pass their test.
On the May 6 episode of his Show Me Something podcast, West called the April 23 taping the "darkest form of therapy," saying the reunion hit him hard because of the blunt feedback he received about how his actions affected friends.
"You don’t often get that much feedback on how your actions impact other people," he explained to listeners. "There’s a shock to your system from it, but the only thing I can do from this is learn and try to be better."
West acknowledged the damage done to relationships, particularly the dynamic with ex-Ciara Miller. The reality star vowed to make amends.
"The only way you can make an experience like this worth it, as dark as it gets, is to get better from it. Its growth. It’ll take a sec, but we’ll get there," said West. "What matters to me the most is that these are my friends, and I’ve caused a lot of damage, which f—king sucks."
He admitted that the Season 10 reunion was "a little less fun than normal," but a necessary step forward.
"Doing the reunion was one step, and we got through it," added. "We’ve just got to take it one day at a time."
Fans claim West’s shock is empty. Across social media, Bravoholics argued that the reaction from his castmates was predictable, given that he and co-star Amanda Batula went public with a secret romance, a move many feel was a betrayal of close friends.
"He completely betrayed them," one fan wrote on Instagram "How is he shocked by the fallout?" Others called his podcast comments "premature," noting he’s already unpacking the reunion publicly before it even airs.
According to new castmate KJ Dillard, West has begun reaching out to everyone with an apology. KJ recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live and read the text he received aloud.
"'I wanted to thank you for your articulation and kindness yesterday, despite being hurt,'" KJ read aloud from West’s texts. "'I’ve been off social, and I think I lost touch with how much hurt there was. I’m incredibly sorry.'"
The text continued, "'Also, sending you love in regards to your mental health. You shared a lot yesterday and I know it might carry much weight now, but I’m always rooting for the best for you. I know it will take some time, but whatever you feel like you’re ready, lunch or a phone call would mean a lot in the spirit of healing. No need to respond. Take your time.'"
Some fans appreciated the attempt at reconciliation, while others saw it as calculated PR. As the fanbase waits for the reunion episode to air, sentiment is split between curiosity and skepticism.
"Time helps," West said of repairing friendships. But for many Bravoholics, time alone won’t erase the sense that he owes a deeper accountability to the people he hurt and to the audience watching it all unfold.
