The Bridgerton social season is officially upon us!

The Netflix announced that Season 4 of the hit series will arrive in two parts, with Part 1 debuting on Thursday, January 29, followed by Part 2 on Thursday, February 26. Each part will consist of four episodes, continuing the show’s tradition of delivering eight episodes of pure high-society drama, passion, and scandal.

Narrated once again by the incomparable Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown, the teaser hints at more emotional ups and downs within London’s most elite circles.

“With each passing season, one is known to experience plenty of ups and downs,” Andrews says in the clip. “So then we must ask ourselves: Do we rise to the occasion? As always, time and this author will tell.”

This season, it’s finally Benedict Bridgerton’s turn to take the spotlight. Played by Luke Thompson, Benedict the second-born Bridgerton and resident artist, has long been the family’s charming free spirit. He is content to live life on his own terms while his siblings found love.

However, that’s about to change when he meets a mysterious woman known only as the Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball. That woman turns out to be Sophie Baek, portrayed by Yerin Ha, a secretive maid with big dreams and a past she’s desperate to hide.

The upcoming season draws inspiration from An Offer from a Gentleman, the third installment in Julia Quinn’s famous book series. In the novel, Sophie is the orphaned, illegitimate daughter of an earl forced to work under her cruel stepmother – until fate brings her face-to-face with Benedict. Their love story, filled with forbidden romance, identity reveals, and class tension, is one of the most fan-requested arcs in the Bridgerton universe.

Previous seasons have focused on each Bridgerton sibling’s journey to love, from Daphne’s fiery romance with the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) in Season 1 to Anthony’s passionate match with Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) in Season 2, and most recently Colin’s friends-to-lovers story with Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) in Season 3. Now, it’s Benedict’s turn and fans couldn’t be more excited.

Across social media, viewers are already theroizing about the upcoming season, predicting that Bridgerton’s fourth installment will be one of its most romantic yet.

"I'm telling everyone I am busy for all of January and February. I'm unavailable," one fan wrote on Instagram. “Give me the masquerade, the longing looks, the secret love," another added.

Bridgerton Season 4 is shaping up to be a season fans won’t soon forget. Part 1 premieres January 29, followed by Part 2 on February 26, only on Netflix.
