Tonight marks the Season 34 finale of Dancing with the Stars, and all signs point to a climactic finish for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. Five couples remain, but only one can bring home the Mirrorball.

Fandom Daily’s Prediction: Robert Irwin wins it all, with Alix Earle as the runner-up.

Robert Irwin and Witney Carson enter the final night as our favorites to win it all. Robert’s journey, from a non-dancer with a big personality, to a consistently high-scoring performer, has captured the hearts of the judges & America.

Why we think it’ll be Robert:

  • Let’s be real. He’s the judge's darling: Robert brings genuine emotional depth to his routines, which the judges (especially Derek Hough) adore. Throughout the entire season, we’ve seen emotion play a vital role in his performances, and it’s hard not to get sucked into that, especially when that emotion stems from our second point.

  • Family ties: The Irwin family legacy is a powerful narrative. Everyone knows & loves Steve Irwin, and now there’s another budding Irwin star ready to take over! How can you not root for him? His sister, Bindi Irwin, also won Season 21 with Derek Hough (think he’s biased?), and Robert's win would cement the family as the first siblings in DWTS history to lift the Mirrorball.

  • Disney's Favorite Nepo Baby: Don't forget that ABC is owned by Disney. In addition to the above, Irwin will star in Zootopia 2, which premieres this weekend. He plays the voice of Robert Furwin, a Koala. Winning Dancing With The Stars would be the perfect press play to get the movie out to a broad, family-friendly audience.

  • The Sympanthy Vote: It was reported earlier today that Robert Irwin is dealing with an injury, causing incredible pain in his ribs. Similar to what we saw earlier in the season when Elaine Hendrix was rushed to the hospital, the DWTS fans are very easily swayed by an injury.

And while we think Robert will win it all, we think there’s a not-so-outside chance that Alix Earle & Val Chmerkovskiy have the opportunity to deliver an upset. She’s our pick to take home 2nd place.

Alix has shown incredible growth and has been delivering consistently high scores throughout the season. She’s been our personal favorite celebrity to watch this season (along with Whitney, who we think was sent home too soon), and we think she has the skill to take home the top spot. You also have to consider - Val is no stranger to winning the Mirrorball. Out of the 20 seasons that he’s been a pro on DWTS, he’s made the finale now 9 times, and has won 3 times (with a 4th potentially on the way). He knows what it takes to get the most out of his partners, and is absolutely a key ingredient in how Alix has grown so much over the season.

The question is - Does she have more fans than Robert? Time will tell.
