Emma Stone has confirmed that she does not have "Bad Blood" with Taylor Swift. 

In a recent interview published by Variety (Feb. 21), the award-winning actress expressed her regret over a joke made at Taylor Swift during the 2024 Golden Globes. 

Stone, who clinched the Best Actress award for her performance in Poor Things, quipped about Swift being an "a–hole." The lighthearted comment was meant to highlight their long-standing friendship. However, the media instantly twisted her words, and Swifties flooded her social media with criticism. 

"I definitely won't make a joke like that again," said the 34-year-old. "Because I saw headlines that really pulled it out of context."

Throughout the star-studded evening, Stone and Swift did not display any signs of an uneasy friendship. In fact, the "Blank Space" singer-songwriter gave Stone a standing ovation alongside Keleigh Sperry when she won Best Actress.

"What an a–hole, am I right?" Stone said backstage after receiving the accolade. "I've known her for almost 20 years, so I'm very happy she was there. She was also nominated tonight, so I'm very happy she was there – but what an a–hole." 

Swift and Stone's friendship blossomed in April 2008 when they met at the Young Hollywood Awards, growing stronger with each passing year. The duo has been seen together at high-profile gatherings like the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and the Met Gala, showcasing their mutual support. In 2010, Swift supported Stone at her Easy A premiere, demonstrating the reciprocal nature of their support, which was mirrored recently when Stone attended Swift's Eras Tour. 

Stone continued to count her blessings and her friendship with Swift. 

"I've known her since we were 17 and 18, so she hooked me up, which was very nice 'cause I know those tickets are impossible to get," she recalled. "She's a wonderful friend. She blows my mind."
