If you're looking for a show full of rustic and romantic charm, Farmer Wants A Wife is the series just for you!
Airing for their third season on Fox, the show hosted by Kimberly Williams-Paisley premiered on March 20, introducing a new set of men and a cast full of hopeful women with one goal – finding their happy ever after.
Let's Meet the Farmers of Season 3
Meet the four charming farmers featured on the popular dating series this season:
John Sansone farms soy, corn, and wheat in St. Louis, Missouri.
Jay Woods raises hay and cattle in Florence, Alabama.
Matt Warren grows avocados and exotic fruits in Visalia, California.
Colton Hendricks is a cattle rancher and horse trainer in Mena, Arkansas.
John Sansone, 25, hails from St. Louis, Missouri, where he manages soy, corn, and wheat crops. Not only is he deeply rooted in his grandfather's farm, but Sansone is also pursuing a law degree. He’s on the lookout for someone who can match his packed schedule – think a lawyer's hustle meets rural resilience.
Jay Woods, also 25, comes from Florence, Alabama, where he tends to his hay and cattle. A former Duke University football player whose career was sidelined by an injury, Woods now finds solace in the quiet rhythms of farm life, enjoying crossword puzzles and books by night. He’s ready to find a partner who shares his love for the countryside, much to his mother's delight.
Matt Warren, 30, is a newcomer to farming, cultivating avocados and exotic fruits in Visalia, California. After a family tragedy prompted him to swap construction for agriculture, Warren is now fully immersed in farm life and eager to find someone to share his new passion with.
Colton Hendricks, 28, from Mena, Arkansas, is a cattle rancher and horse trainer raised on the principles of hard work taught by his father. With a life deeply connected to his family’s farm, Hendricks seeks a partner ready to embrace farm living and help build a future together.
This series stands out for its distinctive blend of Southern charm and unique dating dynamics. Unlike typical dating shows, it starts by introducing over 30 women to the mix, creating a diverse and competitive atmosphere. Quickly, though, it narrows down the competition, as each farmer must select only five women to bring back to their individual farms.
This rapid selection process not only intensifies the connection opportunities but also underscores the rural lifestyle and values at the heart of the show. This quick winnowing also adds an element of suspense and strategy – making it a captivating watch as viewers see how choices unfold in such a brief timeframe.
The Season 3 Premiere
Warning: The following contains significant spoilers for the premiere of Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3.
The season 3 premiere of Farmer Wants a Wife introduced an exciting mix of romance and rural charm, with Paisley setting the stage. She encouraged the farmers to "listen to your heart" as they embarked on speed dating rounds with their group of eight women.
The episode quickly sparked interest, particularly for Warren, who connected deeply with Chelsi, a 29-year-old with a background in ranching and real estate. Their mutual attraction was evident, with compliments flying during their engaging conversation. Chelsi highlighted Warren's dimples, and he couldn’t hide his admiration, declaring her "drop-dead gorgeous" and a sure choice for a return visit to his farm.
Woods' first interaction was with Julia, 22, who made a bold impression by presenting a photo of herself in a cowboy hat and swimsuit, although she made it clear farm chores were not on her agenda. Despite the surprise, Woods found the encounter memorable, albeit questioning the family-friendliness of the show.
Hendricks on the other hand was quite nervous. He connected with Keeley, a 22-year-old dance coach. She even gave him a quick dance lesson, leading to a heartfelt exchange and a kiss on the hand that left Hendricks smitten.

Sansone is searching for a kindhearted woman, and Samantha, 24, caught his attention. Their conversation took a playful yet challenging turn as she questioned his sincerity, leaving her unsure about their potential connection.
As the speed dating concluded, the farmers faced the difficult decision of choosing five women to invite back to their farms. This led to heartfelt confessions of nervousness and the tough reality of sending some women home. Warren chose Chelsi among his five, Woods was captivated by Grace, Sansone picked Samantha for a candid conversation, and Hendricks was charmed enough by Bailee to share a first kiss filled with chemistry.
In a dramatic twist, each farmer then selected one woman for 24 hours of uninterrupted solo time on their farms. Warren choice was Jordyn, Woods opted for Grace, Sansone went with Samantha, and Hendricks chose Bailee – each hoping to deepen their connections and possibly start a lifelong romance.
