Is love on the rocks or just another round of internet speculation?

Justin Bieber has once again found himself at the center of fan-driven drama after seemingly unfollowing his wife, Hailey Bieber, on Instagram. The move set the rumor mill ablaze, but Justin was quick to set the record straight.

In a since-deleted Instagram Story, the "Peaches" singer clarified, "Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. S--t is getting suss out here."

While the word “suss” aptly describes how fans were feeling, Justin promptly refollowed Hailey, leaving little room for doubt about their relationship status.

Hailey Bieber seemed unfazed by the digital drama. The Rhode Beauty founder took to Instagram with a casual photo dump on January 21. Amid snaps of snowy landscapes and chic outfits was a sneaky pic of Justin napping at a restaurant.

Captioned with nothing but a cheese emoji and a smiling face, the post read as a lighthearted nod to the internet’s overreaction. Fans quickly noticed the effort to reassure: "Cheesy but effective!" one commenter quipped.

The couple’s winter getaway to Aspen just days prior painted a different picture of their marriage. On January 18, Justin had posted a loving tribute, calling Hailey "The greatest woman I have and will ever know." The photos showed Hailey bundled up in a chic black ensemble, with Justin’s caption solidifying their united front.

This isn’t the first time the Biebers have faced breakup rumors. Hailey, 28, has often been candid about the toll public scrutiny takes on their relationship. From being pitted against Selena Gomez to facing intrusive questions about their private life, Hailey has maintained her composure. In one TikTok repost addressing online haters, she wrote, "You’re not well and it’s OK."

The couple’s openness about their struggles—including Hailey’s fears about raising children under the spotlight—adds depth to their social media responses. The pair welcomed their son, Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024, a milestone they’ve kept largely private.

Adding another layer to the saga, fans noticed Justin had also unfollowed his longtime manager Scooter Braun and mentor Usher earlier this month. While Braun’s account has since been deactivated, the move fueled further speculation about Justin’s current relationships. However, neither Justin nor Hailey has commented directly on this particular development.

Social media has been a breeding ground for fan theories and memes. One X user joked, "Justin Bieber’s account got hacked? Sure, Jan." Another added, "If this isn’t the modern-day equivalent of ‘leaving a note in class,’ I don’t know what is." Meanwhile, dedicated fans of the couple expressed relief at their public displays of affection: "They’re clearly fine; can we all calm down now?"

While the drama played out online, some fans took the opportunity to ask about Justin’s next album. The singer hasn’t released new music since his 2021 album Justice and his gospel-inspired EP Freedom. After canceling his world tour in 2022 due to health concerns, Justin’s focus has largely been on personal growth. Could this social media storm hint at new music brewing in the background?

In the grand scheme of things, this social media hiccup seems like a minor bump in the road for the Biebers. Whether it’s through photo dumps, sweet tributes, or the occasional meme-worthy clarification – Justin and Hailey continue to show they’re a united front. As one fan aptly put it, "Their love is stronger than an unfollow button."
