Machine Gun Kelly (Colton Baker) has placed his heart on the line in new song "Don't Let Me Go." Throughout the spit-fire rap, which was released on Wednesday (Feb. 21), MGK dives into some of the most challenging experiences of his life, including grappling with suicidal thoughts and the agony of a miscarriage he suffered with Megan Fox.

The track, accompanied by a poignant music video, showcases the musician's vulnerability, touching on his mental health struggles.

"Lately my thoughts eating me alive | Laying in the bed thinking maybe hate will finally go away if I'm not alive," he raps. "Wish I didn't listen | Just like I wish they would understand me one time | I had a breakdown and tatted my entire body except one line | Everything's just fine."

Highlighting his battle with dark thoughts, symbolized by a finger gun to his head in the video. Another layer of his pain is revealed through his tattoos, which cover most of his upper body, leaving just one line untouched—a physical representation of his breakdown.

The song also addresses the couple's heart-wrenching experience with miscarriage in 2021, a topic Fox had previously opened up about in her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are PoisonousFox's poignant writings detail the emotional devastation of their loss, offering a window into their shared grief.

"I'm medicating with something that I cannot pronounce | But it's what the doctor gave me | Rehab patient, with a pen and some paper | This psychiatrist keeps evaluating," delivered MGK. "How can I live with the fact | That my hand wasn't on her stomach when we lost the baby? | I don't got no one to turn to | 'Cause everyone's dead in my life that was tryna raise me."

This is far from the first time MGK mentioned the miscarriage, as the difficult subject is explored in his track "Twin Flame" and his unreleased song "One Day and 10 Weeks." He also dedicated his performance at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards to his unborn child.

Despite their tumultuous relationship, marked by intense highs and lows, sources close to the couple have indicated that both are committed to overcoming their roadblocks. They aim for a relationship grounded in love, support, honesty, and mutual growth, navigating the complexities of their bond with determination and an open heart.

"Megan and Machine Gun Kelly have their ups and downs, as most couples do," the source told ET. "They love so hard that sometimes things can be intense, but ultimately, they do their best to hear one another and better themselves. They both want a happy l, loving, supportive, and honest relationship."

Following the release of the heart-wrenching song, MGK jumped on social media (Feb. 22) to display his body covered in black ink. Fans flocked to the comments to express their support and to assure MGK that they will continue to stand in his corner during this challenging time.

"Prayers. Depression is no joke," wrote a fan. "This is very brave to step out in public fresh like this. If he needs to be held by the public, then hold him. Don't let him down. Don't consume him with hate he expects of you," stressed another, calling out the naysayers commenting on his new appearance.

MGK's "Don't Let Me Go" is a testament to his and Fox's resilience in the face of personal adversity, marking a significant moment of artistic and emotional honesty for the musician.
