Morgan Wallen, 30, has broken his silence following his April 7 arrest for an incident involving reckless endangerment at a newly opened honky-tonk in Nashville. The singer, known for his chart-topping hits, including "Whiskey Glasses," took to social media to address the charges. 

"I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks," wrote Wallen on X (formerly known as Twitter). "I've touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief's. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility."

The incident occurred at Chief's on Broadway, a bar and restaurant owned by Eric Church. Wallen allegedly threw a chair from the rooftop, narrowly missing pedestrians and police officers below. The police report detailed the incident, stating that officers witnessed him throwing the object from the bar's roof. Witnesses also declared that the hitmaker started laughing after his reckless behavior. 

Despite the seriousness of the charges, Wallen's lawyer assured fans that the singer was cooperating fully with authorities. The Tennessee native was released from the Metro Nashville jail on a $15,250 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 3 – the same day as one of his planned concerts at Nashville's Nissan Stadium. 

Despite the legal proceedings, Wallen has confirmed that his upcoming tour dates will remain the same, and his performances in Nashville will continue from May 2 to May 4.

Fans of the country star have remained supportive amidst the controversy, eagerly anticipating his upcoming shows. This incident, however, is not Wallen's first brush with the law on Nashville's Broadway, as he was previously arrested outside Kid Rock's bar in May 2020. 

Some speculate that Wallen's recent apology was strategically timed to coincide with the release of Taylor Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. By addressing his arrest amidst the excitement of Swift's album drop, Wallen seemingly aimed to divert attention away from his actions – allowing fans and the music industry to focus elsewhere momentarily.

Despite the speculation, Wallen's decision to maintain his tour schedule reassures his fans and keeps them firmly on his side as he navigates the aftermath of his latest legal entanglement.
