Doctor (Work it Out) [feat. Miley Cyrus]” - Pharell Williams, Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus and Pharell instantly got us up and grooving this morning. The new track is deliciously funky, bringing all of the best of Cyrus and Williams to one glisteningly good single. Williams and Cyrus worked together in 2014 on the Girl song “Come Get It Bae.” In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Cyrus and Williams said the idea for the single dated back to 2012.  “We just knew it was early,” Williams said. “You just never know. And there’s a moment where you feel like you feel the stickiness in something, but you may feel that the environment is not ready for it.”

Von dutch” - Charli XCX

The queen of hyper-pop Charli XCX is back, giving us the club banger we need to go into the springtime with campy, upbeat new single "Von dutch," the debut track off of her new LP Brat. “I was born to make dance music,” she wrote on X. “I came from the clubs.. xcx6 is the album i’ve always wanted to make.”

Too Good to be True” - Kacey Musgraves

Musgraves releases second single off of upcoming record Deeper Well, "Too Good to Be True." The single stunningly paints a picture of newfound intimacy, with lyrics, "Made some breakfast, made some love / This is what dreams are made of / On a cloudy Monday morning." The single depicts Musgraves' gentle uncertainty towards this new chapter, reveling in the warmth of the relationship, but always praying the relationship isn't too good to be true. The song hosts familiar production and songwriting styles from Musgraves, bringing us back to the Golden Hour era we all know and love.

Underdressed at the Symphony - Faye Webster

Webster delivers a delectable new LP, Underdressed at the Symphony, shining a new light on her alternative style with even more creativity than before. Her previous records have favored heavier lyricism, while Underdressed at the Symphony brings a new, unique simplicity to the forefront, paired with unabashedly fantastic production choices to craft a stellar full-length project. “Lego Ring,” featuring Webster’s childhood friend Lil Yachty, offers relief from the somber themes across the rest of the record as she leans into the playfulness of Yachty’s processed vocals.

Blinding Faith” - Knocked Loose

Hardcore unit Knocked Loose drops heavy new track "Blinding Faith," from their upcoming LP You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To. The single stays authentic to the group's usual sound, but brings an even more intense essence to their discography, going harder, faster, and grittier than ever before. Fans of Knocked Loose's early records will surely be fond of this new release.

Darlin’” - Jenna Paulette

Paulette gives us one of her most vulnerable releases to date, "Darlin.'" Paulette's signature stunning vocal delivery, paired with emotionally exposed lyrics, "He calls me pretty / and I believe him / tells me he loves me / and God I can feel it / his prayer that was answered / when I was your problem / yeah it’s really something / the way I keep fallin’ / when he calls me darlin," make this a standout single for the singer-songwriter. If you're falling in love someone that finally treats you right and need fantastic country music, "Darlin''" is soon to be permanently on your "On Repeat" playlist.

Phase” - Kerrigan Barry

Rising Nashville alternative artist Barry wows with the 2000s-inspired single "Phase." No stranger to fantastic lyricism as one of American Songwriter's Song Contest finalists, on Barry's "Phase" we get the edgy and fun lyrics, “I’m back in black eyeliner / I’ll probably steal your lighter / Just sick enough to get an inner lip tattoo / My parents used to say / I’d grow out of this one day / Just reminiscing, shit / What if it isn’t a phase?” Barry takes us back to Warped Tour days, listening to Avril Lavigne in our older sister's car, wearing those favorite dirty, worn-out Vans.

In My Dreams” - ElectraQueens

TikTok viral supergroup ElectraQueens comprised of Jenane, Alyssa Scott, and Gabrielle Vaughn came into 2024 strong with the sexy new dance-pop single "In My Dreams." Lyrics penned by the girl group, “In my dreams, I see you and me / dancing in the dark, boy I’ll steal your heart," aren't just lines; they're a one-way ticket to a steamy night, and the ElectraQueens serve it up with style. Kudos to Jesse Brock, the Grammy Award-winning producer behind the track. His production isn't just incredibly inventive -- Brock creates an authentic storytelling experience through sound. “In My Dreams” is all about blending the best of pop, R&B, and funk. The group put out a single that’s as now as it gets, setting a vibe that's both on-trend and uniquely ElectraQueens.

Overcompensate” - Twenty One Pilots

Twenty One Pilots, led by the Columbus duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, skillfully dives into their distinctive sound in the track. Joseph, the band's frontman, breaks into his familiar rap cadence, revealing a glimpse into his creative journey: "Earned my stripes / Three hundreds tracks in my Adidas jacket / Bless your ear holes while you react / Acting gobsmacked, don’t hesitate to maybe overcompensate/ I feel like I was just here / Same twitching in my eyes." Known for their genre-blending approach, the band infuses a melodic chorus into the mix, with Tyler singing, "I fly by the dangerous bend symbol / Don’t hesitate to maybe overcompensate / And then by the time I catch in my peripheral / Don’t hesitate to maybe overcompensate."

Our Fan Of View is that this is the band's strongest release since their early albums, and we can't wait for the new record to drop if it is anything like this single. Leave your thoughts on their new era in the comments below before Clancy releases.

Broken Man” - St. Vincent

St. Vincent (Annie Clark) comes raring back into the music scene with the slammingly strong track "Broken Man." The single infuses all of the best of Clark -- a mix of industrial rock and pop with lyrics that will leave you breathless. Clark has a knack for pulling the feelings you didn't know you had out of you with her music, and "Broken Man" is no exception. The single precedes her new LP All Born Screaming out April 26th via Virgin Music Group.

That's it for this week, but leave your favorite pick and FOV in the comment below, and stay tuned for next week's #NMF.
