Our Barbie, Nicki Minaj, has once again displayed why she's the reigning queen of rap!

In a groundbreaking achievement, Minaj has become the first female rapper of 2024 to smash through the 1 billion stream mark – solidifying her status as an unstoppable force in the music industry.

The news, initially reported by The Juice Pop on X (Feb. 28) sent shockwaves through the hip-hop world, further cementing Minaj's legacy as a trailblazer and trendsetter in the game. The milestone adds to a long list of accolades for the rapper. Her latest album Pink Friday 2 stormed the charts, debuting at No.1 and marking her third consecutive chart-topping album—a feat no other female rapper has achieved.

The project included  heavy hitters such as – J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Drake, and more. The album's hit tracks like "FTCU," "Everybody," and "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" have been dominating airwaves and playlists worldwide.

But Nicki's dominance doesn't stop there!

Despite releasing only one new single in 2024, "Big Foot," aimed at fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, she's managed to rack up impressive streaming numbers. While the track made waves initially, its presence on the charts dwindled in the following weeks. Nonetheless, with over 11 million streams on Spotify, Minaj proves that she's still a force to be reckoned with.

In the realm of hip-hop, she stands shoulder to shoulder with legends like Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Kanye West, and Future, boasting an unmatched streak of consecutive chart placements. And let's not forget the iconic Lauryn Hill, whose groundbreaking album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill set the bar high for women in hip-hop, earning her five GRAMMY Awards, including Album of the Year.

Of course, we can't overlook the impact of Cardi B, whose debut album Invasion of Privacy took the world by storm in 2018. With over 19 million units sold and her hit single "I Like It" surpassing a staggering 1.5 billion streams, Cardi B has carved out her own place in rap history.

Amidst these legends, Minaj continues to shine the brightest, breaking barriers and setting new records with each milestone. So, Barbez, are you ready for the queen to reclaim her throne? Because she shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon!
