Noah Kahan tied the knot in Vermont, and fans are loving the intimate, 'Stick Season'-inspired celebration.
In a quiet, heartfelt moment far from the spotlight, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Noah Kahan said “I do” to his longtime partner on August 23 in Vermont, according to a statement from his representative. The couple’s rep told People.
“We can confirm that Noah Kahan married his partner in an intimate ceremony in their home state of Vermont on August 23rd,” the rep said in a statement. “On behalf of the couple, who greatly value their privacy, we respectfully ask that no additional details, photos or video be shared publicly unless they choose to do so in their own time," shared his team.
Fans already deeply enchanted by Kahan’s raw, emotive songwriting have erupted across social media with congratulations and affection. For many, the fact that the wedding took place in Vermont, a place so central to the spirit of his hit "Stick Season," feels poetic.
Though famously private, Kahan did offer one early personal glimpse via the liner notes of his 2023 extended Stick Season album, where he tenderly wrote:
“To my fiancée, you're the air I breathe, you are everything, and whatever is left after that,” he wrote in the dedication. “I could spend the rest of my life thanking you for getting me through this, and I promise I will. I love you to the moon and back."
He further acknowledged her and the unwavering support of his family on Instagram in October 2024, thanking “my fiancée, my parents and siblings… all gave 2.5 years of their life to this magical sequence of dreams…” and crediting them for helping him navigate the whirlwind of his Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) tour.
For fans, this wedding isn’t just a celebrity headline, it's deeply meaningful. Vermont isn’t just Kahan's home state; it was the inspiration behind Stick Season. In interviews, he’s described growing up bored in Strafford, Vermont, and that very boredom sparked his vivid imagination and artistic voice.
"I was pretty much just bored all the time," he told PEOPLE back when the album was released. "I love where I grew up, [but] I felt like I had cultivated a really good sense of imagination as a little kid, and this creativity that comes from having to create your own excitement when you're living in a place that's small, and where you know everybody and you see everything."
For fans, seeing his commitment unfold, where his journey began, feels like coming full circle.
