For the first time, lucky fans will be able to visit a Pokémon themed Christmas village as part of this year's Christmas Market in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. The pop-up is an official collaboration with the Pokémon company to celebrate the release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the latest Pokémon game released in October.

The main attraction at the pop-up is the Shiny "Hoden" tree, a massive Christmas tree cleverly surrounded by electric-type Pokémon "creating the illusion that the Pokémon are generating electricity and making the tree glow," from the Christmas Village's website. If that's not exciting enough, they even partake in a Christmas tree light show.

Other draws include a "Mega Gift Box" which is a life-size wrapped present, filled with over 350 Pokémon plushies. Unfortunately it's described as a photo opportunity, and none of the plushies are actually for sale. You'll have to catch 'em all somewhere else.

Fans will also have the opportunity to play a demo of Pokémon Legends: Z-A in their Pokémon Hut, another immersive photo opportunity that's decorated like Miare City from the game, on select days. The pop-up will run through December 25th and is free to the public.

An immersive Pokémon experience is something fans have been begging for for ages. Anyone remember the Pokémon Go craze of 2016? This Christmas village is definitely a step in the right direction. It'll at least hold over some fans until PokéPark Kanto opens up next year.
