"Earlier this evening, federal agents arrested Sean Combs, based on a sealed indictment filed by the SDNY," wrote the US Attorney SDNY on X. "We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time."
The charges allege that Combs organized elaborate events known as "freak-offs," which involved both male sex workers and women who were reportedly coerced into participating. According to the indictment, Combs allegedly arranged for these individuals to travel to him under misleading circumstances.
Prosecutors claim that Combs used a mix of drugs, threats to their careers, and intimidation to make sure the women took part. They allege that he controlled them by threatening to withdraw financial support and using violence to ensure compliance. Prosecutors believe he ran a "criminal enterprise."
Combs is expected to plead not guilty to the charges. Marc Agnifilo, Combs' defense attorney, addressed the media outside the New York courthouse, firmly stating, "He's not guilty. He's innocent of these charges."
Agnifilo confirmed that Combs had recently relocated to New York City, indicating he may have anticipated the forthcoming legal challenges. He expressed determination to "fight like hell" for his client, forecasting a lengthy legal battle but with a hopeful outlook for Combs.

This development has sparked widespread media interest and scrutiny as Combs, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, faces these severe accusations.
Fans aren't exactly shocked by Combs' recent indictment – a lot of them feel like this was bound to happen sooner or later. Over the past year, several women have come forward with lawsuits, accusing him of some serious sexual abuse allegations.
In November, his ex-girlfriend Cassie sued him, claiming he raped her throughout their decade-long relationship, though the case was settled the day after it was filed. Then, more women followed, accusing him of drugging and assaulting them, with some allegations dating back to the '90s. With all these accusations piling up, many fans say the writing has been on the wall for a while now.
There's a growing sense that Combs' influence may have shielded him from consequences before, but now it looks like his past is catching up to him.
The case continues to evolve, and further updates will be provided as more details emerge.
