Swifties are convinced 'Reputation (Taylor's Version)' is coming soon, thanks to new Easter eggs from 'The Handmaid's Tale,' her website, and a possible AMAs reveal.
In the midst of Taylor Swift's hiatus, fans got a dose of adrenaline on May 19 during a chilling episode of The Handmaid's Tale, and Swifties think it's the latest sign that Reputation (Taylor's Version) is on the way.
The Hulu series' Season 6, Episode 9, opens with the haunting organ notes of "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)," marking the latest commercial use of the re-recorded Reputation track. As Gilead's red-robed resistance walked solemnly down a street, Swift's fierce anthem played underneath a flurry of gunfire and sirens – stretching across the first verse, chorus, second verse, and final haunting repetitions of the title phrase.
It clocked in at 2 minutes and 16 seconds, and yes, fans timed it.
The moment the episode aired, fans flocked to social media to weigh in. While many fans are excited, others aren't fully sold, with some on social media saying the re-recording "sounds worse than the original" and that her voice "kinda sounds lost."
This isn't the first time the re-recorded version has surfaced. Earlier this year, Apple TV+ used "Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)" in The Dynasty: New England Patriots, highlighting Tom Brady's comeback post-deflategate. It also featured in the trailer for Amazon Prime's Wilderness.
Even Handmaid's Tale star Elisabeth Moss couldn't hide her excitement.
"I've been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show, and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I'm so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment," Moss previously told Billboard. "Taylor has been such an inspiration to me personally. As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for [co-star] Yvonne [Strahovski] and our entire cast as well, who are all Swifties, it's such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show."
Fans now believe all signs point to something Reputation-related stirring beneath the surface.
After lying low post-Super Bowl, Swift made a brief appearance via video at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March, where her Eras Tour was crowned "Tour of the Century." Though her outfit was understated, eagle-eyed fans noticed a snake-shaped necklace – a subtle but unmistakable nod to the Reputation era. With only Reputation and her 2006 self-titled debut left to be re-recorded, Swifties are convinced the slithering snake signals the next re-release.
That necklace tho 👀
If ya know ya know
Now, fans are setting their sights on the 2025 American Music Awards, airing May 26 in Las Vegas, where Swift is nominated for six awards including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. She's yet to be confirmed as an attendee, but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating that a Reputation (TV) announcement could happen.
Swift's online store recently updated its navigation bar to include four categories: Apparel, Music, Accessories, and Sale – spelling out "AMAS." Coincidence? Swifties don't believe in those. 12 items are currently marked down by 26%, which fans believe is a clue pointing to the 26th of May… the night of the AMAs.
There are currently 12 items 26% off on Taylor Swift’s official store.

Swift has used award shows to drop major announcements before. In 2022, she revealed Midnights at the MTV Video Music Awards. At the 2024 Grammys, she unveiled The Tortured Poets Department while accepting Best Pop Vocal Album.
And let's not forget – the last time Swift performed at the AMAs was during her Reputation era, opening the 2018 ceremony with a fiery performance of "I Did Something Bad." With history on her side and all eyes on the snake necklace, the stars might just be aligning for Reputation (Taylor's Version). If Swift does reveal the album at the AMAs, fans believe a July release would make perfect sense, giving her team just enough time to roll out pre-orders, exclusive vinyl variants, and new merch.
When it comes to this hitmaker, the clues are always there – you just have to look closer. Do you think we will get Reputation (Taylor's Version) soon? Let us know your Fan Of View in the comments or by messaging us on social media @fandomdaily_.
