Sydney Sweeney may have just wrapped one chapter of her love life, but the award-winning actress is already making headlines with another.

According to People, the 27-year-old actress is "casually hooking up" with former music manager Scooter Braun, 44, after the two met at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's star-studded wedding weekend in Venice, Italy, this past June.

While insiders stress that "everything is casual" and that Sweeney is simply "living her life and working hard," the rumors are running wild and have fans talking. 

Braun, who spent years managing the careers of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, is still a polarizing figure in the entertainment world, primarily due to his long-standing feud with Taylor Swift over her master recordings.

"Because of the Taylor Swift controversy, a lot of fans see Scooter as a walking red flag with baggage," one fan posted on X (formerly Twitter). "Sydney deserves better."

But not everyone is quick to dismiss the pairing. Some see potential in the relationship, arguing that their careers complement each other rather than clash. 

"He's in the business side of the industry, more in music than acting, so maybe there's no competition energy here," another fan speculated online.

For Sweeney, the rumored romance comes just months after she confirmed her split from longtime partner and fiancé, producer Jonathan Davino. 

"I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it," she told The Times of London in May, reflecting on her new chapter of singlehood.

A close source also told PEOPLE at the time that Sweeney and her ex were on rocky terms. 

"Things have been rocky for a long time," the insider shared with the outlet. "She didn't feel right about it. She is in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago. This is what she wants to focus on right now," they added, referring to her successful career. 

Braun, meanwhile, finalized his divorce from health activist Yael Cohen in 2022, but he's been vocal about maintaining a close bond with his ex-wife, with whom he shares three children. 

"My ex-wife is one of my best friends," Braun said on Danielle Robay's Question Everything podcast in July. "We don't even call each other ex. That's like my partner, that's the mother of my children."

That dynamic has also sparked debate among fans, with many pointing out that any new partner will need to accept his unusually close relationship with Cohen.
