Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour with her six-episode docuseries, coming to Disney+ on December 12.
Taylor Swift is inviting fans behind the curtain of her record-breaking Eras Tour with a new Disney+ docuseries, The End of an Era, paired with a concert film, The Eras Tour | The Final Show. The announcement came during a Good Morning America appearance on Monday (Oct.13), with Swift sharing a trailer via Instagram.
In her post, Swift explained, “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour … and to film the final show in its entirety.”
The docuseries will be six episodes long, and the concert film will feature the full Tortured Poets Department set. Both are set to premiere December 12 on Disney+.
The trailer gives fans intimate glimpses of life on the road, including Swift removing her makeup and relaxing in a hotel bath, as well as tender moments with her now-fiancé, Travis Kelce. Kelce is seen carrying Swift during a rehearsal, while other familiar faces, including Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, and Ed Sheeran, appear throughout the teaser.
The Eras Tour, which ran from March 2023 through December 2024, was a cultural phenomenon, breaking records with 149 shows across five continents and more than $2 billion in ticket sales. During the tour, Swift released two new albums, The Tortured Poets Department and The Life of a Showgirl, and re-recorded Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
Swifties are thrilled about the docuseries. Many had suspected a behind-the-scenes project after spotting cameras at tour stops, but the announcement now confirms what they’ve been waiting for. Fans are also speculating about what comes next for the superstar, pointing to “exit signs” in The Life of a Showgirl, the docuseries key art, and interviews where Swift mentioned it was time to “close the book.”
While Swift has confirmed she isn’t leaving music, fans are sparking rumors about her future projects. With intimate moments, celebrity cameos, and the full spectacle of the final shows, the forthcoming feature film promises to give fans an all-access look at one of the most impactful tours in music history.
