Let’s pour one out, Bachelor Nation for the hopefuls who made it to Week 4 (Feb. 17) – just in time for international travel – only to have their romantic getaway turn into a one-way ticket home. Talk about a first-class heartbreak.

This week, Grant Ellis and his ladies touched down in Madrid, but the romance took a backseat to the ongoing saga of Carolina vs. literally everyone. The tension had been brewing since prom night when Carolina – already holding a date rose – commandeered even more of Grant's time, leaving the other women steaming.

“I think you maybe could have waited a little bit towards the end,” Juliana told Carolina, adding that the move “set a tone that unfortunately had some s--- outcomes for people.” Translation? Carolina is playing the game, and the other women aren’t here for it.

But before we get too deep into the drama, let’s revisit thinking of you-gate. Last week, Rose told Carolina that Grant had supposedly said, “When I was dancing on stage with Carolina during the group date, I was thinking about you.” Grant denied it, but Bachelor Nation did what they do best – digging up receipts.

A resurfaced clip showed Grant saying to Rose, “Even today, right? The whole dancing thing on stage and everything — I was thinking about you.” Now, did he mention Carolina by name? No. But the damage was already done, and tensions between Rose and Carolina were at an all-time high.

Dina Scores The One-On-One Date

Despite the drama, Grant had a rom-com worthy date with Dina. The two explored Madrid, playing fútbol with local kids before learning a traditional dance in the town square. Dina, typically reserved, opened up about her childhood and emotional walls.

“I grew up thinking that you don’t show your emotions,” she admitted. “I’m a little bit of an ice queen… but I can melt for the people that deserve it.” Sounds like Grant is up for the challenge! Over dinner, Dina shared her past relationship struggles, and Grant reciprocated, admitting he had been selfish in a previous seven-year relationship. The date ended with Dina accepting a rose and the two sharing a passionate kiss. Cue the swoons!

Group Date Drama: No Rose For You

The thinking of you fallout reared its ugly head again when Juliana confronted Carolina for taking up too much of Grant’s time and not appreciating it. Carolina, feeling ganged up on, broke down in tears — just in time for Grant to swoop in and comfort her.

The move didn’t sit well with Bachelor Nation. One fan tweeted, “Grant watching Rose leave knowing he was going to send her home anyways: 👀” Another added, “Dina showing us all you don’t need to trauma dump on a first date to get a pity rose #TheBachelor.”

Ultimately, Grant was so over the drama that he opted not to give out a group date rose at all — a rare move that left the women shaken. “This is emotionally taxing,” he admitted.

Bungee Jumping & A Fourth Wall Break

Grant’s second one-on-one date of the week was with Sarafiena, and it involved a Bachelor classic — bungee jumping in the rain. While the adrenaline rush was there, Grant worried about their connection when Sarafiena wasn’t exactly leaning in to their kisses. Turns out, she had a very valid reason: “My mom is watching.” Most relatable fourth-wall break ever? Possibly. Still, the date ended on a high note, with Sarafiena getting a rose and sharing her concerns about being told she was “always missing something” in past relationships.

Cocktail Party Chaos & A Shocking Self-Elimination

At the cocktail party, Grant pulled Juliana aside to discuss the Carolina drama. She explained that Carolina never had anything positive to say about her earlier date with Grant, which raised some serious red flags for him. “It’s just not mature,” Grant later told the cameras. Carolina tried to defend herself, saying, “Of course I’m going to have my doubts. If I’m concerned, it’s because I take this seriously.”

Grant ultimately reassured her but made it clear that she should only be expressing those concerns to him — not to the other women. Meanwhile, Rose had officially had enough. Her tension with Carolina was at a breaking point, and when Dina — who had been neutral until now — stepped in to comfort Carolina, Rose saw it as the ultimate betrayal. “Your actions really set me back, and it really kind of f---ed me over,” Rose snapped. That was it. Rose declared, “I can’t do this anymore. I just want to go home.” And just like that, she self-eliminated before the rose ceremony, leaving Grant and Bachelor Nation stunned.

Bachelor Nation Reacts

Social media was buzzing after Rose’s exit. Fans were divided, with some blaming Carolina and others feeling like Rose made her own bed. One TikTok user quipped, “There’s always one chaotic girl in the house and this season, it’s Carolina.” Another fan commented, “Watching this season just makes you appreciate Joey so much more. Grant constantly saying ‘I’m so emotionally available’ makes me think he might not be that emotionally available.”

As for Grant? He’s keeping his eyes on the prize. “This is helping me form stronger connections,” he said, proving that even when the drama is at an all-time high, the journey must go on. Next week, we head into yet another dramatic rose ceremony. Will Carolina survive another round, or is her time finally up? Stay tuned, Bachelor Nation!
