West Wilson has finally addressed his relationship with Amanda Batula, telling Bravoholics on the April 20 episode of his Show Me Something podcast that there was "no overlap" between his romance with Batula and his breakup with close friend Ciara Miller.
The Summer House star, 31, said he and Batula, 34, "realized things were maybe a little bit serious in February," and acknowledged that his choices "have hurt people that I care about."
West continued to call out the fan behavior online and the number of people theorizing about the scandal.
"I know there's a thousand different theories on the internet right now, but that is one thing that for sure did not happen. Everyone was single," Wilson told co-host Sophie Cunningham as he sought to lay out the timeline and intentions behind the relationship.
He also revealed that Batula has faced intense online backlash, including the leaking of her phone number and hateful messages. Wilson said he plans to make some apologies "face to face" and to "clear up all of the crazy s--- that's been on the internet" at the upcoming reunion.
Miller, 30, has already spoken publicly about how she’s preparing for the reunion and processing the fallout. In a Glamour interview published April 17, Miller said the public exposure of private hurt added another painful layer.
"It's one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors; to experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It's a major mind-f---," she said.
She also pushed back against the idea of a "revenge dress," saying she’s focused on representing who she is now rather than staging a look for retaliation.
This feud matters to Summer House viewers because it centers on trust and friendship within a close-knit cast that shares private lives. The situation raises questions about boundaries between friends and romantic partners in reality-TV circles and about how cast dynamics play out both on-screen and in real life. It also underscores how quickly private situations can become public and the real emotional toll that social-media scrutiny can take on the people involved.
As the voice of the fans, Bravoholics have been closely tracking every statement and reaction. Many expressed relief that West eventually addressed the controversy in detail. While others said the timeline is beside the point, focusing instead on the harm done.
On social platforms, reactions ran from weary disappointment to blunt calls for accountability. One fan wrote, "Timeline does not matter. BOTH you guys made choices that hurt and humiliated people that were your friends. That’s not nothing, and it’s not something that can be explained away."
Another added, "Timelines aside, y'all should care enough about the people around you to not get involved with each other. Overlap (or not) is irrelevant."
Some Bravoholics urged the cast to use the reunion as a chance for honest, in-person accountability rather than online explanations.
"If you’re going to apologize, do it face to face," one fan suggested, echoing Wilson’s stated intention to offer in-person apologies at the reunion. Others cautioned that a well-crafted timeline won’t erase the emotional consequences. Many want to see genuine responsibility, boundaries, and steps taken to repair friendships.
The Summer House Season 10 reunion will air in late April.
