The Hunting Wives is officially returning for a second season!

The soapy thriller, which debuted on Netflix on July 21 after being picked up from Starz, quickly became a smash hit, spending five weeks in the global English Top 10 and racking up more than 20 million views in the U.S. alone.

Netflix confirmed that Season 2 will release exclusively as a branded Netflix series in nearly every country the streamer is available, with the original cast set to reprise their roles.

Season 1 left viewers gasping. The show follows Texan queen bee Margo (Malin Åkerman) and newcomer Sophie (Brittany Snow) as they navigate their torrid affair and the crimes they've been involved in.

The finale ended with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger – Sophie accidentally answered a call from Margo on Kyle's phone just before rolling his body over a cliff and into the water, leaving fans desperate for answers.

Meanwhile, Sophie's husband, Graham, faced criticism from viewers for abandoning her during her investigation and only apologizing after her name was cleared. Sophie's revelation about her affair with Margo added even more tension, leaving fans wondering if her marriage could survive.

Season 2 promises even more twists. A new logline teases that Sophie and Margo start the season on the outs but will be forced back together by old secrets and new enemies. However, one question looms: will Margo survive the fallout with her husband, Jed (Dermot Mulroney)? Will Sophie finally come clean to Detective Salazar and the private investigator connected to the one-eyed man?

Fans have turned to social media with excitement and are already sharing their predictions for Season Two.

"I can't wait. That show had me glued to the TV 😂," one Instagram user wrote. Social media is abuzz with speculation about the characters' fates, the fallout from the cliffhanger, and the high-stakes drama that's sure to unfold.

Creator Rebecca Cutter told Variety that Season 2 will continue the "sexy, twisted, batshit crazy ride" through Maple Brook, with Åkerman, Snow, Dermot Mulroney, Jamie Ray Newman, Evan Jonigkeit, and George Ferrier all returning. Executive producers include Cutter, May Cobb, and Erwin Stoff for 3 Arts Entertainment.

With Season 1 leaving so many questions unanswered and tensions running high, fans are counting down the days until they can dive back into the dangerous, scandalous world of The Hunting Wives. A premiere date has yet to be announced.
