Episode 2 dives into the chaotic aftermath of the White Party, fractured friendships, and the moment no one expected: Jax Taylor admitting he's a drug addict.
The Valley is serving maximum drama this season. Episode 2 (April 22) picked up right where last week’s chaos left off — with white party fallout, fractured friendships, cheating accusations, and a moment no one saw coming: Jax Taylor finally admitting he’s a drug addict.
If you missed the latest epsiode, Fandom Daily is breaking it down for you. Epsiode 3 airs tonight, April 23.
The episode starts with Brittany Cartwright, Janet Caperna, and Jasmine Goode processing the aftermath of the White Party From Hell. Janet is still furious with Kristen Doute for dodging accountability and wants her to at least admit to some wrongdoing. Things got so tense that Janet ended up leaving the party altogether.
Brittany, caught in the middle of it all, makes it clear she’s exhausted. Between personal stress and all this drama, the last thing she wants is to play referee. In a moment of messy social media moves, Janet also realizes she unknowingly unblocked Zack Wickham.
Kristen stops by Jax’s house, and it’s about time someone calls this man out. Jax confides in Kristen about his issues with Brittany — conveniently leaving out his own bad behavior. Kristen’s not having it. She straight-up tells him he’s been awful: name-calling, disrespectful, and reckless. The conversation gets heavy as Jax admits he’s hit rock bottom, especially since he’s no longer allowed to be alone with his son, Cruz. Kristen reminds him that this is a mess of his own making.
Meanwhile, Zack meets with Brittany and accuses Janet of being just as manipulative as Jax — a claim Brittany quickly shuts down. But then Zack gets emotional. He tells Brittany that he feels isolated, believing Janet drove a wedge between them. In a vulnerable moment, Zack also opens up about his rocky relationship with boyfriend Benji, who’s facing deportation issues. It’s one of the episode’s more heartfelt scenes, reminding us that beneath all the drama, these people are actually human.
Jesse and Michelle sit down for a serious talk about their daughter Isabella’s schedule, but it quickly spirals into accusations. Jesse doesn’t want to spend the holidays alone, and then drops a bomb — he accuses Michelle of cheating on him (once again).
Michelle claps back with a bombshell of her own: Isabella told her that Jesse had a girlfriend sleep over while their daughter was there. To top it off, Michelle claims this girlfriend has been sleeping with other guys and calls none other than Scheana Shay from Vanderpump Rules to confirm the gossip.
Danny and Jason show up at Jax’s house for what quickly turns into an impromptu intervention. They haven’t seen him in a while. Jax admits he’s been struggling and is seeking help — though he’s visibly irritated because, in his words, he’s been having the same conversation over and over again. Then the inevitable happens: Jax gets a phone call confirming he needs to check into rehab for at least 30 days, about time.
Meanwhile, Brittany continues to be appalled, as she finds another woman’s underwear in Jax’s house — the home they used to share. The underwear was next to babywipes making the girls think the unthinkable. The disrespect knows no bounds.
Janet decides to invite the girls to her birthday party at Dave & Buster’s — because nothing says grown-up reconciliation like arcade games and overpriced nachos. Brittany and Michelle give their blessing for Jax and Jesse to be invited too. Risky move. Later, Zack and Benji have a heart-to-heart about the future. Benji agrees to moving in with Zack for the summer. Given everything else going on, this could either be the fresh start they need… or a total disaster.
The episode’s final confrontation is as brutal as it gets. Cruz cries when Jax goes to hug him, and Brittany demands Jax not kiss their son because she has no idea who he was with the night before — and whether he’s clean.
Jax refuses to talk to Brittany, claiming she destroyed his life. She urges him to get help for himself and for their son, but he says he’ll never forgive her. Then Jax lobs a disgusting accusation, claiming Brittany’s been sending pictures of Cruz to other men.
Brittany doesn’t flinch. She makes it clear: if he doesn’t stay in rehab for the full 30 days, she’s filing for divorce, seeking full custody, and making sure he loses his job. Finally, Jax ends the episode by admitting on camera: he’s a drug addict.
Brittany is truly an angel on this earth! From putting up with Jax for so many years to doing what’s right for her son, she is one of the most self-aware women we’ve seen on reality TV. She’s not afraid to admit that she’s had her fair share of mistakes in trusting Jax in the past, but it ends with their son. On the other hand, Jax is absolutely diabolical in the last scene, gaslighting, lying, and playing the victim. While we hope it is because he’s upset to be away from his son for a full month, we know in our gut that he’s just upset that he’ll be missing filming. That’s narcissism for ya.
