Country artist TracieLynn is making her boldest statement yet with the release of her brand-new EP, Doing Fine. Produced by longtime collaborator Grady Saxman, the six-song collection is equal parts grit, grace, and unapologetic Southern storytelling.

With a sound that nods to Miranda Lambert and Ashley McBryde while standing firmly in its own lane, TracieLynn delivers a project that walks listeners through heartbreak, resilience, family ties, and the determination it takes to chase a dream.

“It actually started with the guitar before the lyrics,” TracieLynn told Fandom Daily. “I was just messing around one day and landed on this riff that had such a spooky, moody feel to it. I instantly fell in love with it. The lyrics started coming pretty naturally from the vibe of that riff, but I hit a little writer’s block. My husband, Hunter, happened to be home from work, so I asked if he wanted to jump in and write with me. When the creativity light is on, I always try to take full advantage of it, and we ended up writing the whole song together.”

Though the song carries a dark, haunting energy, she laughs that its inspiration wasn’t heartbreak. “People might assume it came from a place of heartbreak, but Hunter and I are actually so happily married and everything’s good at home.”

At the center of the EP lies the title track, “Doing Fine,” a defiant anthem rooted in conversations with her parents. “Being in the music industry is tough and cutthroat, and naturally they worry about me a lot,” she explains. “This song came from a place of wanting to reassure them, to say, ‘Don’t worry, I’m doing fine.’ It felt like the perfect title for the project because that’s the bigger message too: I’m still making music, still chasing my dream, getting back up on the horse, and not letting anything stop me.” That balance of vulnerability and grit gives the EP its heart and makes it a personal milestone in TracieLynn’s journey.

Much of that authenticity comes from her partnership with producer Grady Saxman, a creative relationship years in the making.

“I’ve been working with Grady for years and he really understands my vision, who I am as an artist, and the lane I’m in,” she says. “That kind of connection doesn’t usually happen right away — it comes from years of working together and building that trust across multiple projects. What I love is the balance he brings. He pushes me creatively, but always makes sure the music stays true to who I am.”

Every song on Doing Fine carries its own challenges and rewards, but TracieLynn admits a couple strike especially close to home.

“‘Pretty Machine’ I wrote about my mom, and after hearing it, my dad made it very clear he wanted a song for him too — and that’s how ‘Doing Fine’ was born,” she says. “To be honest, each track holds a special place for me, but those two are definitely the closest to my heart.” The personal nature of these songs underscores the EP’s emotional depth while also making it relatable to anyone navigating life’s ups and downs.

For TracieLynn, that connection with listeners is the true purpose of the project. “My hope is that fans feel seen and understood when they listen to this project,” she shares. “Each song comes from a real place in my life, but I think the emotions behind them — heartbreak, resilience, family, chasing dreams — are things a lot of people can relate to. More than anything, I want listeners to walk away feeling inspired to keep pushing through their own ups and downs.”

Even as she celebrates the release of Doing Fine, TracieLynn has her eyes on the road ahead. “Right now my focus is on this EP and really celebrating it the way it deserves, including my release show in Nashville,” she says. “After that, I definitely plan to keep the momentum going with new music and more shows. Touring is absolutely on my radar, and I’ve got a few surprises in the works that I can’t quite share yet, but let’s just say I don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon!”

With its blend of fiery grit, heartfelt reflection, and undeniable honesty, Doing Fine cements TracieLynn as an artist carving her own lane — and doing it on her own terms.
