Vancouver-based pop artist Xana is undeniably one of the most exciting names to emerge in the music scene this year. With a powerful voice and a raw authenticity that resonates with listeners, she's quickly becoming a fan favorite.

After spending years honing her craft, Xana has truly made 2024 her year, captivating audiences worldwide with her headlining The Sex Was Good Tour, and the release of her powerhouse sophomore LP, The Sex Was Good Until It Wasn't, produced by Liam Moes and Shane Stephenson. 

Xana's rise to stardom has been a journey of unflinching honesty and fearless vulnerability. Known for her candid storytelling and ability to reflect on her personal growth, her music connects with listeners on a deep level. From her humble beginnings writing songs in her bedroom to becoming an international artist, Xana's evolution has been nothing short of inspiring. 

"I just did it," Xana told Fandom Daily as she recalled her rise to fame. "I wish there were some magic formula that I had, but I just did it. I put a song out and then another, and I just didn't stop. I was lucky that people liked what they were hearing," she added. 

Like many, Xana joined TikTok in the height of the global health crisis in 2020 and built a loyal following. However, it wasn't until her debut single "Goddess" when she solidified her star status, as the track garnered more than 13M streams on Spotify alone. The must-watch artist now has 318K monthly listeners. Her determination has led her to create an incredible connection with her fanbase that feels like family. 

"I gained a lot of my audience through the platform at the very beginning. I do absolutely recognize the stuff that I've accomplished in the last four years. I put so much of my heart into my music, and I think that it translates the most with people," she explained. "That's kind of why I have such a passionate, dedicated fanbase." 

One of the standout tracks from her latest album is "Monster," a brutally honest exploration of Xana's past mistakes and the self-awareness that came with them. In the song, she reflects on her worst decisions, taking accountability and finding peace in the process. 

"I wrote 'Monsters' when I was going through a time when I was thinking about every selfish or bad decision I've ever made, every sticky situation I've gotten myself into. This big explosion in my life made me look inwards and be like, 'Why is there a pattern? I keep finding myself in these situations and questioning my intentions as a person,'" she shared. "I was so distraught at the time, but that song was so cathartic and therapeutic to write. It's such a fun song, and it makes me so happy to listen to it. It just makes me wanna dance." 

This ability to confront difficult truths is a hallmark of Xana's artistry. Her rawness and courage are what set her apart from other artists in the pop landscape. 

"If I'm not going to be honest, what's the point?" Xana says, reflecting on her creative process. "It would feel so disingenuous not to be vulnerable. That's how I connect with my audience."

Although her powerhouse sound would instantly send a shiver down a spine, it is more than just a melody – it's an invitation to join her on a journey of self-reflection. Whether she's singing about heartbreak or embracing confidence, Xana's ability to balance vulnerability with strength makes her a truly unique artist in today's pop scene. "I have the best fandom in the world," she says, clearly moved by the support she's received. "I think that they are the sweetest, kindest people ever. I'm a fan girl. I grew up fangirling. I've been part of fandoms, but I've never seen such a sweet, kind, and caring fandom. People are just so touched and happy with what I'm doing, and I'm just so happy that they are receiving it so well. It's not the biggest fan base in the world, but they feel so big with the amount of love and passion that they bring back to me," she added with a beaming smile.

Through her honesty, Xana has created a safe space for fans to feel understood. She is one of the few paving a path in the lGBTQ+ community – using her empowering platform to become a role model for individuals who struggle to see themselves in music today and ones who find themselves on their self-discovery journey. She is more than just an artist – she's a movement.

"I think that feeling seen, understood, and recognizing yourself in somebody else's work goes such a long way. I'm an artist, and these are the experiences I'm writing. Even if I'm writing a song and there's no she/her pronouns in it. Like it's still a song. I'm still an artist. For people, it's so validating and important to have that kind of art. I didn't have that kind of music growing up, and it probably would've made such a world's difference for me." 

Xana continued, "I'm always trying to be the artist I needed when I was little and make people feel seen and understood. I think that's the most important thing I could do." 2024 is only the beginning for Xana, and as she continues to captivate the world with her unique sound and undeniable authenticity, there's no doubt that she will be a name to remember for years to come.
