Harries are furious, saying Zayn Malik’s jab at Harry Styles over sky-high Together, Together ticket prices simply spotlight their outrage at unaffordable seats.
At a Las Vegas concert on Wednesday night (Jan 29.), Zayn Malik seemed to take a pointed jab at former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles. Simply turning a routine thank-you into a viral moment.
"I just want to say a big, big thank you to each and every single one of you for being here with me tonight," Malik told the crowd, pausing for a reaction. "You could have been anywhere, but you decided to spend your night with me. Hopefully, the ticket prices weren’t too high," he quipped with a smile. "Just saying."
This statement grabbed attention because it touched on a heated controversy – the sky-high ticket prices for Styles’s upcoming Together, Together tour. The highly anticipated run is slated to go from May through December 2026 and includes dozens of stadium dates worldwide.

On primary sitfaes they’re roughly $50–$1,182, but demand has driven resale prices up. Expect $300–$500 at minimum and pay over $3,000 for the best seats. VIP packages can top out around $9,900.
The Harries, Styles’s devoted fanbase, have been vocal and emotional. Social media is blowing up and many are calling the prices “disgusting” and saying two concert tickets could amount to an entire paycheck.
One fan wrote they "cannot justify spending an entire paycheck on 2 concert tickets," while another called the situation "insane." Fans are also angry about presale chaos and staggering resale markups, arguing those practices lock out superfans and turn the live-music experience into a luxury only some can afford.
That frustration helps explain why Malik’s joke landed with weight. For some Harry fans, it was a relief… a celebrity finally saying what people have been venting about on social media. Others saw it as messy or hypocritical, pointing out that expensive tickets and limited access are problems across the industry.
Styles has addressed the backlash in part by pledging to donate $1 from every stadium ticket sold to LIVE Trust, an organization that supports grassroots music venues around the UK. That move has been welcomed by some as a positive gesture, but for many frustrated fans it’s not enough to outweigh the sticker shock.
The tension is amplified by the personal history between Malik and Styles. Both rose to fame as part of One Direction, the band formed on The X Factor in 2010. Malik left in 2015; the group disbanded in 2016.
Whether the dig sparks further back-and-forth between artists or prompts a broader conversation within the industry about fairer pricing remains to be seen, but for now it has lit a fuse among fans who say they simply want a fair shot at seeing the music they love live.
