Adele has reportedly been approached to perform the halftime show at Super Bowl LX in February 2026, according to Page Six

While insiders say no deal has been finalized, the speculation gains momentum alongside other rumored contenders like Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has made pointed comments about Swift, calling her a “special, special talent” and saying she’d be “welcome at any time,” though he stops short of confirmation.

For many fans, the idea of Adele headlining seems exciting – she is a powerhouse vocalist with an emotional catalog that resonates deeply with her audience. Her ability to carry a show with vocal strength and sincerity could make for a dramatic, memorable halftime. However, there are voices of concern, too.

Some fans question whether the stage demands of the Super Bowl – its size, the live production, the need for high energy, wide-reaching visual spectacle – might stretch Adele’s strengths.

Will her slower, more intimate songs translate in such a massive, spectacle-oriented setting? Could there be a perceived lack of the kind of high-octane performance or dance-heavy theatrics that many expect from halftime?

Many assumed this would be Swift’s moment. Fans have mined recent appearances, especially on the New Heights podcast, for what they believe are Super Bowl “easter eggs,” suggesting Swift might be setting the stage for a halftime appearance. Swift’s fan base, international reach, and recent momentum (including her upcoming album) make her a strong contender in public opinion.

Ultimately, choosing Adele would be a bold move, one that could pay big in terms of artistry and emotional impact. But the questions remain, can her show deliver the kind of visual dynamism and energy the Super Bowl demands? Or will fans prefer someone whose repertoire and stage presence are built for maximum spectacle from the outset?
