Arianators were sent into a frenzy when rumors spread that the Grammy-winning pop star was preparing to embark on a tour in 2025. Her devoted community dreamed of seeing their idol back on stage. But those hopes were quickly dashed when Ariana Grande's label released a statement, putting an end to the speculation.

"There are no plans for a tour next year, but Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and all the continued love, support, and excitement," the label clarified on social media. While the news was a letdown for listeners eager to see her live again, Grande's gratitude for her supporters hasn't wavered.

So, what's going on with Ariana's career? Variety recently (Dec. 17) sat down with the Wicked star at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominees luncheon, to hear her game plan for 2025. While making pop music is an important part of her life, she confirmed that her focus and priorities are shifting.

"I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don't see it coming anytime soon," explained the powerhouse vocalist. "I think the next few years, hopefully we'll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now," she added.

While it's tough for fans to hear that a new tour isn't in the immediate future, Ariana's passion for acting is undeniable – especially with her role in Wicked. The award-winning star made it clear that she hasn't left music behind completely.

The award-winning singer did not fail to express her gratitude. She's thankful for the love and support her fans have shown her throughout her journey.

"I am appreciative for [my fans'] understanding," stressed Grande. "I'm so grateful for the ways in which we've grown together over this whole journey with 'Wicked.' But music will always be part of my life."

Grande's current acting project is Wicked, and she's clearly invested in the role. She shared some exciting behind-the-scenes details about the sequel to Wicked, which was officially titled Wicked: For Good. The franchise announced the exciting news earlier this week (Dec. 17) and shared that the sequel will hit theaters on November 21, 2025.

Grande said the title has been in the works since the beginning. "We had ['For Good'] printed on our original scripts, the hard copies that we were originally given," she revealed. "We were floating around different ideas, but the scripts were printed with it since day one. I'm glad it's official now because we grew rather attached to it."

She also shared her excitement for the project's significance. "It's just the perfect title because this project really has changed us for good," she said. With such passion for the Wicked films, it's clear that Grande is fully immersed in this new chapter of her career.

Arianators aren't entirely surprised by her decision to focus on acting. After all, she's spent the last few years preparing for her role in Wicked, which reignited her love for musical theater. Many fans speculate that a stint on Broadway could be in Grande's future – possibly even in Wicked itself. This would allow her to combine her love for music and theater in an exciting new way, creating an unforgettable experience for both herself and her fans.

"I could totally see her on Broadway," one fan shared on Twitter. "She's so talented, and Wicked seems like the perfect project for her to shine even more." Whether it's a Broadway comeback or a surprise musical performance, Arianators are eagerly awaiting whatever she decides to do next.
