Cardi B is making headlines once again, this time for a bombshell personal announcement. During a sit-down interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings on Sept. 17, the rapper revealed that she is expecting her fourth child, her first with her new boyfriend and NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

"I'm having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs," said the rapper on air, visibly glowing as she spoke about the pregnancy. She added that her due date is right before she kicks off her highly anticipated Little Miss Drama tour in February. "I've been putting in all this work, but I'm doing all this work while I'm creating a baby," she shared.

The reveal shocked fans not only because of the timing, just days ahead of her Sept. 19 album release Am I The Drama?, but also because Cardi and Diggs only confirmed their relationship this past summer. 

The two were first linked in late 2023, when Cardi admitted she was dating again following her split from Offset, her husband of five years. By February 2024, they were spotted spending Valentine's Day together in Miami, and by May, they went public at a New York Knicks game. In June, Cardi made it Instagram-official with a since-deleted video of the pair dancing on a yacht.

Their whirlwind romance has already been full of grand gestures. In August, Cardi showed off a $73,000 Patek Philippe watch gifted by Diggs, telling fans, "At first I thought he was buying himself a watch and then he was like, 'Surprise, a watch for you!'" The moment only fueled speculation that their bond was quickly deepening, and now, with a baby on the way, that suspicion has been confirmed.

For Cardi, this pregnancy feels different. She told King she's "in a good space," describing her relationship as one where both partners are "supportive of each other" and aligned in their careers. "He just makes me feel safe and very confident,"she gushed. "And it makes you feel like you could take over the world."

Still, the timing has some fans divided. While many are celebrating what they see as Cardi's glow-up, others think she may be moving too fast with Diggs.

"So great, congrats!! Moms do it all – career, children and family and more👏👏," another praised, though skeptics argue it's too soon to bring a child into a relationship that only became official a few months ago.

The pregnancy also comes as Cardi continues navigating a messy divorce from Offset, the father of her three children: Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 1. 

After years of an on-again, off-again marriage, Cardi filed for divorce in July 2024, just weeks before confirming she was pregnant with Blossom. Given their history, fans are already buzzing about Offset's inevitable response to this new development.
