Reality TV is about to push boundaries in a brand new way.

Hulu officially announced Are You My First? on Monday, July 21 –  a daring new dating series hosted by Bachelor alums Colton Underwood and Kaitlyn Bristowe. The twist? Every contestant on the show is a virgin.

Billed as a “groundbreaking new dating experiment,” the unscripted series will follow “the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled” as they explore love, intimacy, and, possibly, their very first sexual experiences, all while living together in a dreamy tropical paradise.

The network promises a journey filled with romantic dates, emotional challenges, and vulnerable self-discovery.

“For the first time, they’re free to explore their connections without judgment,” the statement continued, teasing a steamy and soulful ride. “Who will find that special someone? And who will go home hot, bothered, and heartbroken?”

For co-hosts Underwood and Bristowe, the project hits close to home. Underwood was famously labeled “The Virgin Bachelor” when he headlined season 23 of The Bachelor in 2019. At the time, he made headlines for choosing to remain abstinent until he found someone he truly loved and avoided confirming whether he and then-girlfriend Cassie Randolph became intimate during the fantasy suite.

“It’s something that we’re going to keep to ourselves,” Underwood told former host Chris Harrison during the show’s finale, prompting Harrison to tease, “I’ll take that as a yes.”

Underwood later detailed his virginity journey and search for identity in his 2020 memoir, The First Time: Finding Myself and Looking for Love on Reality TV. He also opened up about struggling with his sexuality, ultimately coming out as gay in 2021 and marrying political strategist Jordan C. Brown in 2023. They welcomed their first child via surrogate earlier this year.

Bristowe, meanwhile, brings her own depth to the table. After starring on The Bachelorette in 2015, she co-hosted the franchise’s 17th season with Tayshia Adams in 2021 and has since become a beloved voice in the reality TV space. Her sharp wit and heartfelt perspective make her a natural fit for a show diving into the complexities of modern relationships.

The fan response to the Are You My First? announcement has been overwhelmingly positive.

“This is the refreshing twist reality TV needed,” one fan posted on TikTok. “I love anything Colton Underwood."

Harrison added, "So damn proud of both my babies. Love ya both."

There’s no denying the potential power of this duo. With Underwood's personal story and Bristowe's seasoned hosting chops, the show could be the perfect mix of heart, humor, and heat...just what the reality dating genre has been craving.

Are You My First? premieres Monday, August 18 on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. Whether you're a longtime fan of The Bachelor or just curious about this new social experiment, it's shaping up to be one of the most talked-about shows of the summer.
