The Bad Apples, Jelly Roll's  devoded fandom, were left concered when the singer turned to social media (April 7) to reveal that his private plane had to make an emergency landing. The "Need a Favor" artist was on his way to the 2024 CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas.

The genre-bending hitmaker, his ever-supportive partner Bunnie XOand their team were on board. The flight experienced technical issues in the air, causing the pilot to touch down immediately. Our favorite duo emerged unscathed from this harrowing ordeal, and the 39-year-old made it out safely.

Bunnie XO, 44, turned to social media after the landing and addressed the inncident. In a heart-pounding TikTok video shared on April 4, Bunnie recounted the nerve-wracking experience.

"What's happening?" Bunnie XO asked her husband in the video. "The plane jsut got turned around...they said it's an issue with the computer. And they want us to get back on it! At least it wasn't the brakes," responded Jelly Roll.

Although the trip to Austin started on rocky terms, it ended up being a career-altering weekend for Jelly Roll. The rocker turned country music mainstay swept the 2024 CMT Music Awards, securing three wins. He took home Male Video of the Year, CMT Performance of the Year, and Video of the Year.

"In the last year you changed my life in every way I never thought my life could be changed," he said during one of the three acceptance speeches he made. " I'm having one of the best nights of my life. I once heard a man say that 'you don't change until the pain to remain the same is greater than the pain it takes to change.' And that's what it takes. I love you, Texas."

After he expressed his gratitude to CMT, he closed out the night with a jaw-dropping performance of "Halfway to Hell." His razor-sharp lyrics and contagious energy had attendees on their feet dancing and singing along.

Although his knack for storytelling and undeniable talents earned him the three awards, he did not fail to credit the super fans who rallied behind him for his rapid success.

"This is a moment I want to take to thank the fans for everything they've done for me. I want to thank God. I want to thank my beautiful wife and my daughter at home. One year ago, I was invited to perform at my frist awards show, and I walked on this stage, and I sang 'Need A Favor' on national television for the first time right here. What I am emotional about is that in the last year, you have changed my life in every way I would have never thought my life could be changed."
