What began as a fleeting kiss-cam moment at a Coldplay concert this past summer quickly exploded into one of 2025’s most talked-about pop-culture events and now, Kristin Cabot, the former HR head at Astronomer, is breaking her silence. 

In a candid interview with The New York Times, Cabot, 53, admitted she “made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss,” but stressed there was never an ongoing sexual relationship with then-CEO Andy Byron.

The incident, captured on the jumbotron, went viral instantly, with frontman Chris Martin joking, "Whoa, look at these two," and the audience erupting in laughter and disbelief. Cabot recalled feeling “so embarrassed and so horrified” as videos of the moment spread across social media. 

“I’m the head of HR, and he’s the CEO. It’s, like, so cliché and so bad,” she told the publication.

"That’s the price I chose to pay," she said. "I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes and you can really screen up, but you don’t have to be threatened to be killed for them."

Cabot confirmed that she filed for divorce from her husband, CEO of Privateer Rum Andrew Cabot, in mid-August. However, it still remains unclear whether or not Byron and his Wife, Megan Kerrigan are still together.
