Lily Rose: "These have been the most lit shows."
Lily Rose, the rising country star, is currently on the spring leg of her Runnin' Outta Time Tour across the country, fueled by an ever-expanding fan base that's packing out venues and singing along to every word.
From Jacksonville, Florida to Dallas, Texas, the tour finds Rose hitting cities she's never headlined before, and she couldn't be more thrilled. This trek isn't just about music, it's about connection. With stops in intimate venues like Fine Line (Minneapolis, May 1) or even Cain's Ballroom (Tulsa, May 15), Rose is prioritizing quality time with fans.
I'm just really excited to finally meet those fans and see new venues," Rose told Fandom Daily. "These have been the most lit shows. It's just awesome to get to interact with those fans that I've never met before. I'm excited to spend some time and hopefully they get to know me a little bit more. My fans are the reason I have a career, and I wanna keep playing shows and giving back to them."
This run comes on the heels of her sold-out kickoff at Nashville's Basement East and a wildly successful fall tour that saw 23 packed shows, all celebrating the release of her acclaimed EP Runnin' Outta Time. But what makes this tour especially unique? For the first time in her career, the setlist is made up entirely of released songs — something she's been working hard to make happen.
"I've always teased new music on the road, but this time, I just want fans to live with the songs that are already out," says Rose. "Unless you come to VIP — then you might get an unreleased one."
Her fandom is devoted, and it's not just coming from longtime listeners. Rose is seeing her crowd evolve in real time.
"I'll always be honored to represent the LGBTQ+ community and the fans who feel seen when they come to my shows. But it's also incredible seeing more and more guys — like 45-year-old dads or couples — singing along to half the set. The demographic is expanding, and that's exciting. I just want to sell one more ticket than last time and make people feel something."
While she promises a few surprise covers or tracks she's penned for other artists, fans can expect the full force of her artistry on stage, including her emotional anthem "Let You Know When I Get There" co-written by Ben Stennis, Michael Tyler, and Hunter Phelps. The song dives into themes of family, grief, and resilience and it's already proving to be a live showstopper.
"I knew this was a story that I would not only love to tell, but one that everyone can connect with in one way or another,"she previously said in a press release. "After playing this one on the fall tour. I quickly learned that it's one of those songs where the whole room is so engaged with the story, you can hear a pin drop," Rose added.
Although her set is packed with heartfelt moments, fans should also brace themselves for some high-energy anthems. She's been turning up the heat with her latest single, "I Know What I Want," a hip-hop-infused country banger that's been blowing the roof off every venue she plays.
"It's just been really cool to see not only all of the fans enjoy this song, because we've been releasing 'em, but like new fans are coming in because of this song," she said. "It's just really cool to see that people are connecting with it in a lot of different ways."
If you're a fan looking for a full-fledged concert experience or a carefree night out, a Lily Rose show is your golden ticket to a good time. Following an incredible party at Tortuga Music Festival and a free show at Barstool Nashville, Rose is set to take the stage in Minneapolis on May 1.
