Selenators unite. We're diving into the extraordinary world of Selena Gomez's musical journey and evolution, project by project.

Picture this: a young, vibrant Gomez bursting onto the scene with her band, The Scene. "Kiss & Tell" dropped in 2009, and we all fell head over heels for the infectious energy of "Naturally." Disney Channel vibes, anyone? We needed a new pop princess, and Disney wanted it to be Selena. She competed with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and more – she didn’t have the same vocal strength as the two, but her charming lyrics and “girl next door demeanor” kept her in the ranks.

She didn't stop with subtle, fun bops like “Naturally.” "A Year Without Rain" and "When the Sun Goes Down" saw Selena maturing right before our eyes. "Who Says" had us feeling invincible, and "Love You Like a Love Song" became our anthem.

Then came the solo venture in 2013. Stars Dance was like Gomez saying, "Hey world, I’m all grown up." The beats got a bit more electronic, and "Come & Get It" had us dancing like nobody's watching.

Fast forward to 2015, and Revival dropped like a bombshell. Gomez wasn't just singing, she was declaring her independence. "Good for You" and "Hands to Myself" made us blush and groove simultaneously. Total game-changer.

Life threw some curveballs her way, and Gomez took a hiatus. We missed her, and boy, did she come back swinging in 2019. "Lose You to Love Me" hit us right in the feels. It was raw, and emotional, and felt like she was speaking directly to our hearts – and the emotion in the music felt right after all of the trials she had been through.

Rare in 2020? A masterpiece. Gomez embraced self-love, and we were here for it. The whole album was like a journey of empowerment, and we danced, cried, and sang along. Alongside the launch of her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, this was an era of growth and resilience for Gomez.

Then, surprise! The hitmaker decided to embrace her Latin roots with Revelación in 2021. Spanish vibes, Latin beats – she effortlessly owned it. Rauw Alejandro and DJ Snake? Pure magic.

And here we are, eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Gomez's musical saga. What's next? Only she knows, but one thing's for sure – every twist and turn in her musical journey feels like catching up with an old friend.

Gomez is not just an artist, she's a part of our lives. We can’t wait to see what’s next, especially with a new beau, massive hit-writer and producer Benny Blanco.
