The breakthrough male video of the year category features a battle of rising stars: Chayce Beckham, Childers, Warren Zeiders, and Bryan compete for recognition.

Even though Morgan Wallen received a single nomination, his presence adds extra excitement to the male video of the year category. The competition is stacked with contenders like Bailey Zimmerman, Johnson, and Jordan Davis.

You can find out our Fan Of View and predictions below, starting with Video of The Year.

VIDEO OF THE YEAR

Category for overall video of the year, the most significant award of the evening.

Ashley McBryde - “Light On In the Kitchen”

Cody Johnson - “The Painter”

HARDY - “Truck Bed”

Jelly Roll - “Need A Favor”

Kelsea Ballerini - “IF YOU GO DOWN (I’M GOIN’ DOWN TOO)

Lainey Wilson - “Watermelon Moonshine”

Our Fan Of View: Jelly Roll will take home Video of the Year this year. After his massive success at last year's awards, where he won Breakthrough Male Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year for "Son Of A Sinner," Jelly Roll has risen even higher. His genuine presence, barrier-breaking, and soulful music have paved the way for this to be his year to win big. The video's story is emotional and depicts a father praying for his daughter with cancer and asking for a favor. The relatability and authenticity ooze from Jelly Roll in this video, making it stand out.

FEMALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR

Ashley McBryde - "Light On In The Kitchen"

Gabby Barrett - "Glory Days"

Kacey Musgraves - "Deeper Well"

Kelsea Ballerini - "Penthouse"

Lainey Wilson - "Watermelon Moonshine"

Megan Moroney - "I'm Not Pretty"

Reba McEntire - "Seven Minutes In Heaven"

Our Fan Of View: Ballerini's "Penthouse" video has all the potential to take home a win. The singer's emotional video alluding to her separation from ex-husband Morgan Evans tugged at fan's heartstrings. It led to audiences screaming along to the chorus at every show, tears flowing. The single and complete project, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat and its 'For Good' version, have created a whole new era for Ballerini, one we hope to see even more of.

If Ballerini does take home the win, we can see fans of Wilson and Moroney saying they were snubbed.

MALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR

Bailey Zimmerman - "Religiously"

Cody Johnson - "The Painter"

HARDY - "Truck Bed"

Jelly Roll - "Need A Favor"

Jordan Davis - "Next Thing You Know"

Luke Combs - "Fast Car (Official Live Video)"

Morgan Wallen  - "Last Night (One Record At A Time Sessions)"

Our Fan Of View: The cinematography, storytelling, and lyricism in "The Painter" floors us every time, and Johnson has had a fantastic year with this record, video, and live performances. Fans have been flocking to his shows, selling out giant shows for the Texas-born musician. COJO Nation is stronger than ever, making us feel like a win may be in sight for Johnson on Sunday.

DUO/GROUP VIDEO OF THE YEAR

Brothers Osborne - "Nobody's Nobody"

Dan + Shay - "Save Me The Trouble"

Old Dominion - "Memory Lane"

Parmalee - "Girl In Mine"

The War And Treaty - "Have You A Heart"

Tigirlily Gold - "Shoot Tequila"

Our Fan Of View: The War And Treaty have been on fire this year, and their flames have only just ignited, in our opinion. The husband-and-wife duo of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Blount-Trotter infuse their music with a powerful blend of Americana, soul, and gospel, making them instant standouts in the somewhat complacent country genre. The video for "Have You A Heart" shows the actual dynamic of the couple: vibrant, talented, and able to make anyone fall in love with them. They recently earned their first-ever GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best American Roots Song for “Blank Page,” garnered their first-ever Duo of the Year nomination from the Country Music Association, Vocal Duo nomination from the Academy of Country Music, plus recognition by the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, and the Americana Music Association including earning AMA Duo/Group of the Year for the second straight year.

COLLABORATIVE VIDEO OF THE YEAR

Carly Pearce feat. Chris Stapleton - "We Don't Fight Anymore"

Ella Langley feat. Koe Wetzel - "That's Why We Fight"

Jon Pardi, Luke Bryan - "Cowboys And Plowboys"

Justin Moore & Priscilla Block - "You, Me And Whiskey"

Lukas Nelson + Promise of The Real feat. Lainey Wilson - "More Than Friends"

Mickey Guyton feat. Kane Brown - "Nothing Compares To You"

Old Dominion & Megan Moroney - "Can't Break Up Now"

Our Fan Of View: We believe the duo of Pearce and Stapleton will take home this award. The two have been fan favorites in country music for years, and their powerhouse voices floored fans upon first listening to this smash collaboration. The win would be a nice launch for Pearce after she announced her new LP, Hummingbird, set to release June 14. According to his fans, Stapleton can do no wrong, and the collaboration with Pearce was welcomed warmly.

CMT DIGITAL-FIRST PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR

Chase Rice - "Goodnight Nancy" (from CMT Studio Sessions)

Dylan Scott - "Don't Close Your Eyes (Keith Whitley Cover)" (from CMT Digital Campfire Sessions)

Megan Moroney - "I'm Not Pretty" (from CMT Digital Campfire Sessions)

Nate Smith - "Whiskey On You" (from CMT Studio Sessions)

Scotty McCreery - "It Matters To Her" (from CMT Stages)

Stephen Wilson Jr. - "Year to Be Young 1994" (from CMT Studio Sessions)

The Castellows - "I Know It Will Never End" (from CMT Studio Sessions)

Our Fan Of View: Absolute fan-favorite and emo cowgirl Megan Moroney's version of "I'm Not Pretty" from the CMT Digital Campfire Sessions is one of our most-loved interpretations in this series. We don't foresee Moroney taking home the win for her collaborative video with Old Dominion. However, this award and performance would still honor her signature personable, genuine self. Her down-to-earth vocals and songwriting truly shine in an acoustic setting, making this a front-runner for us.

BREAKTHROUGH FEMALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR, presented by Walt Disney World

Anne Wilson - "Rain In The Rearview"

Ashley Cooke - "your place"

Brittney Spencer - "Bigger Than The Song"

Tigirlily Gold - "Shoot Tequila"

Our Fan Of View: Spencer's talent is off the charts, and especially after her feature on"BLACKBIIRD" from Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter, we would love to see her pick up a win on Sunday evening. The song's lyrics are fitting for her collaboration, as well as her testimony to her passion for music as the passion it brings other folks around the world, "To put your love on top like Beyoncé at my church on Sunday / When Maren starts singin' that tune / Oops, you did it again like Britney with a voice like Whitney singin' / "I will always love you" / Yeah, it's more than a three-minute listen when the radio is on / It's bigger than the song." Spencer shows us wholeheartedly that music is not just about the song but also about the moments and memories they create.

BREAKTHROUGH MALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR, presented by Walt Disney World

Chayce Beckham - "23"

Tyler Childers - "In Your Love"

Warren Zeiders - "Pretty Little Poison"

Zach Bryan - "Oklahoma Smokeshow"

Our Fan Of View: Bryan has had an incredible year, and "Oklahoma Smokeshow" has become a mainstay on streaming, TikTok, in honky tonks, and in the minds of fans everywhere. It would only be appropriate for Bryan to take home an award after the power of his music as of late.

CMT PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR

Amber Riley - "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." (from CMT Smashing Glass)

Bret Michaels & Chris Janson - "Nothing But a Good Time" (from CMT Crossroads)

Carrie Underwood - "Hate My Heart" (from 2023 CMT Music Awards)

Cody Johnson - "Human" (from 2023 CMT Music Awards)

Dierks Bentley - "Drunk On A Plane" (from CMT Storytellers)

Dustin Lynch feat. MacKenzie Porter - "Thinking 'Bout You" (from CMT Campfire Sessions)

Hozier & Maren Morris - "Take Me To Church" (from CMT Crossroads)

Jelly Roll - "Need a Favor" (from 2023 CMT Music Awards)

Kelsea Ballerini - "IF YOU GO DOWN (I'M GOIN' DOWN TOO)" (from 2023 CMT Music Awards)

The War And Treaty - "On My Own" (from CMT Smashing Glass)

Our Fan Of View: Amber Riley should take this category simply for her sheer vocal talent throughout. As a force of nature on the hit television show Glee, Riley has always captivated the hearts of many. Her CMT Smashing Glass performance of "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." by none other than queen Aretha had everyone floored, and the video has comments from fans stating, "This is one of Amber’s best live performances. It was completely flawless. Aretha had very high standards when it came to singing and I think she’d be happy with this performance."

We believe that some fans may see snubs for Wallen, HARDY, and Wilson at this year's awards, especially with so many incredible first-time nominees climbing their way to the top.

Tune in to the CMT Awards this Sunday, broadcast live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, at 8 p.m. ET/PT to see if our predictions are correct, and leave your FOV in the comments.
