Let’s give a round of applause for the greatest shooter the game has ever seen!

Stephen Curry just did what no NBA player before him has ever accomplished – draining his 4,000th career three-pointer during the Golden State Warriors' dominant 130-104 win over the Sacramento Kings.

In true Curry fashion, the milestone shot wasn’t just any ordinary bucket. It came in the third quarter, off a pass from Moses Moody, under pressure, from deep – because of course it did. The Chase Center crowd erupted as the ball swished through the net, cementing Curry’s place in basketball immortality yet again.

Curry didn’t just break records – he changed the game. Before Curry, the three-pointer was a tool. Now, it’s the weapon of choice. His ability to hit from anywhere beyond the arc has completely reshaped how the NBA is played, forcing defenses to stretch to their limits and inspiring a new generation of shooters.

After the game, Curry soaked in the moment, reflecting on how far he’s come.

“It’s beyond my wildest dreams to push a record that far,” Curry told ESPN. “I could feel the energy and the buzz from the beginning of the game. It was a special moment.”

The Chase Center crowd roared as Curry’s milestone shot went down, and the love didn’t stop there. During a timeout, a tribute video played featuring a message from Andris Biedrins –the teammate who assisted Curry’s very first NBA three-pointer. The emotional callback had Curry reflecting on his journey.

“I actually had, I’d call it, an emotional moment on the bench when I saw him,” Curry admitted. “They didn’t tell me they found him and got a video message. That was my vet when I was a rookie. It’s crazy to think back from the first one to 4,000.”

Even Warriors coach Steve Kerr couldn’t help but marvel at the milestone, joking: “What’s next, 8,000?” Curry, never one to back down from a challenge, quipped back: “I don’t think he wants to coach that long, so don’t put that pressure on him.”

With Curry showing no signs of slowing down, the question isn’t just how high his total will climb – but whether anyone will ever catch him.

Social media lit up faster than one of Curry’s heat-check threes, with fans wasting no time anointing him (again) as the GOAT of shooting.

Comments flooded timelines, with one fan declaring, “HISTORY!! Will always remember watching it live,” while another marveled, “That’s a milestone for a 36-year-old! Silent GOAT.” The wordplay was in full effect too, as a fan joked, “Warriors got a Chef and a Butler,” referencing both Curry’s nickname and his latest on-court victim.

Others went straight to legacy talk, calling him the “Greatest PG of all time.” Even Portland coach Chauncey Billups couldn’t help but give props, admitting, “Steph is something like we’ve never seen. He’s fun to watch, but not fun to coach against.” As Curry’s record-setting night sent shockwaves through the sports world, one thing became clear – his greatness isn’t just respected, it’s etched in basketball history.

With James Harden sitting at 3,127 threes and Damian Lillard at 2,794, Curry’s record is safe for a long, long time. But will he stop at 4,000? Not likely. When asked about hitting 5,000, Curry laughed: “It all depends on my knees.”

For now, though, let’s bask in the brilliance of Chef Curry, the undisputed King of the Three-Point Line.
