The iconic performance marks GRAMMY-winning duo Sugarland’s first CMT on-stage performance since 2011.
Buckle up, country music fans. CMT just announced a massive reunion bigger than the Lone Star State.
The network revealed (March 28) that Little Big Town and award-winning duo Sugarland will join forces at the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Sunday, April 7. The two groups shared the stage 15 years ago with Jake Owen for a chilling rendition of "Life In A Northern Town."
The duo, composed of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, won their first CMT Award for "Breakthrough Video of the Year" with "Baby Girl" in 2005. They have performed at the CMT Awards previously with their incredible rendition of "Love Shack," a touching performance of "Stand Up," and gave a sneak peek of their Mad Men-inspired music video for "Babe" in 2018, which marked their highly anticipated return as a duo.
In 2020, Nettles was recognized with the "CMT Equal Play Award" for supporting women in the music industry, LGBTQ+ community, and other underrepresented groups.

As one of the most nominated bands for "Group Video of the Year," four-time CMTMA winners Little Big Town will take the stage at this year's show for the 13th time. The group will celebrate 25 years of being nominated 25 times for Group of the Year in the award show's history.
In honor of the CMT Awards, the network will premiere Little Big Town's highly anticipated Storytellers episode on Friday, April 5, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In the episode, the band will reflect on their music career and deliver some of their biggest hits.

In 2018 and 2019, the GRAMMY-winning band served as back-to-back hosts for the CMT Awards. Throughout the years, Little Big Town performed in 2010 with Jamey Johnson for a performance of "Macon," covering Fleetwood Mac's classic "The Chain" with Keith Urban in 2013. Following those performances, the group has also performed their hits "Day Drinking" and "Hell Yeah."
The highly anticipated performance joins the night of previously announced performers, including Lainey Wilson, Sam Hunt, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Bailey Zimmerman, this year's host Kelsea Ballerini, and several others.
The fan-voted award show takes the stage from Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on April 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
