“There was a philosophical question raised in season 1, which was ‘Can #MomTok survive this?’ The answer unequivocally is yes! Spring 2025, get your dirty sodas ready!” Rob Mills, the executive vice president of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment at Walt Disney Entertainment, shared in a press release statement.
As reported earlier by Variety, the complete season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was released on September 6 and quickly became Hulu’s most-watched unscripted premiere of the year. It surpassed other Hulu original series, including The Kardashians, and reality shows from ABC, such as The Bachelor.

The series has become a standout show for its bold exploration of the lives and struggles of women in a conservative religious community. Set against the backdrop of Utah’s picturesque landscape, the series offers a deep dive into the personal lives, secrets, and relationships of Mormon wives who appear outwardly perfect but face inner turmoil.
The eight episodes of Season 1 focused on the fallout from Utah-based influencer Taylor Frankie Paul’s 2022 revelations about her and her husband’s “soft swinging” lifestyle with other Mormon couples. The cast featured Paul alongside her circle of “MomTok” influencer friends, including Jen Affleck, Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, and Layla Taylor.
The debut season concluded with unresolved questions about MomTok's future amidst growing divisions within the group. Paul celebrated the arrival of her third child with her boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. Still, tensions escalated when Neeley contacted Mortensen's ex to investigate their past relationship, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger. Meanwhile, Affleck faced challenges in her marriage to Zac Affleck as they contemplated a move to New York, and Leavitt decided to leave MomTok altogether.
