Less than two months remain until the 76th Emmy Awards kick off on Sunday, September 15, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. On Wednesday, July 16, Tony Hale and Sheryl Lee Ralph joined forces to announce the nominees live from the El Capitan Theatre.

Standout newcomers like FX's Shogun and Netflix's Baby Reindeer are considered strong contenders, alongside returning favorites such as The Bear, The Crown, and Abbott Elementary, which have previously amassed numerous nominations. 

Notably absent from this year's list are final season favorites like Succession and Better Call Saul, while TV junkies would have loved to see The White Lotus on the list of nominees, but the binge-worthy show is currently filming season three. 

Television Academy chair Chris Abrego praised the industry's resilience amidst challenges, including strikes that briefly halted production over the past year.

"While this year has been marked by significant challenges for our industry and its workforce, there has been an abundance of remarkable programs, extraordinary performances, and impactful storytelling," said Abrego in a statement.
