Garcelle Beauvais: "To the fans, I want to say, thank you so much. You guys have cheered me on, supported me, and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf."
Garcelle Beauvais is saying farewell to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
After nearly five years of delivering grace, grit, and unfiltered truth, the fan-favorite is stepping away from the Bravo hit after season 14. The reality star turned to Instagram earlier this morning (March 25) to break the shocking news.
Within the selfie-style video, she reflected on her time with the franchise and revealed the reason why she was saying goodbye.
"Hey guys, so I have some news," she shared. "I've decided to leave Beverly Hills. It's been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it's been a ride."
So, what's behind her decision to leave the Bravoverse? It all comes down to family and new beginnings. Beauvais is a mother of three – Oliver, Jaid, and Jax.
"One of the reasons why I'm leaving is my family," the mother of three explained. "My boys, their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that. And Jaid is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that, too."
But that's not all – Beauvais teased that she has "the most exciting projects" in the works, which include acting, producing, and developing new ventures. While she remained tight-lipped on details, she promised fans that big news is on the way.
She also expressed her gratitude to Andy Cohen and the entire NBC Universal team for their unwavering support during her challenging decision.
"Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime, the door will always be open," explained Beauvais.
Beauvais made history when she joined RHOBH in season 10. She was the very first Black Housewife on the show. Over the years, she's been a voice of reason, an advocate for authenticity, and a fierce protector of her family. Now, as she steps into this next phase, she's leaving the door open for a possible return.
"You never know, I might pop back in some time," she teased. "To the fans, I want to say, thank you so much. You guys have cheered me on, supported me, and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf. It means a lot, and I hope you guys will continue on this journey with me. It's not goodbye, it's see you later."
The reality star turned the comments off on her social media post, leaving fans questioning whether or not her exit is for good and if she's trying to protect herself from backlash. Let us know your Fan Of View below and how you think her exit will affect the franchise.
