In the wake of a devastating shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade, brothers Jason and Travis Kelce have come forward with a heartfelt response. The two turned to social media (Feb. 19) to address the incident before airing their weekly New Heights podcast episode, which is slated to come out on Wednesday, Feb. 21.

"Before airing our pretaped episode on Wednesday, Jason and Trais wanted the 92%ers and Chiefs Kingdom to hear from them directly after the tragic events at the Chiefs parade," read the caption on Instagram "If you'd like to support #chiefskingdom you can find more information at the link in our bio."

The video displayed the brother's commitment to acknowledging the tragedy before proceeding with their scheduled content. Travis Kelce, 34, of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Jason Kelce, 36, of the Philadelphia Eagles, praised the swift action of local law enforcement and first responders at the scene.

"We just wanted to say our hearts go out to all the victims, their families, Chief's kingdom, and really all of Kansas City that was there on a day to try to celebrate the community," said Jason. "It is unfortunate and deeply tragic the events that occurred. We also want to thank the local law enforcement that sprang into action, the first responders on the scene, and anybody who has been willing to help those affected by this tragedy."

The shooting that occurred last Wednesday (Feb. 14) resulted in the injury of 22 individuals, including numerous children, and the tragic loss of one life.

They continued to promote a donation link for the Kansas City Chiefs' emergency response fund, which aims to support victims and their families, contribute to violence prevention, and provide mental health services. The Hunt Family Foundation and the NFL have donated $200,000 to the emergency response fund. Travis has already donated a whopping $100,000 to two sisters wounded during the shooting, while his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, also made a heavy contribution of $100,000 to the family that lost their mother. As Kansas City rallied to recover from this tragedy, the Kelce brothers emphasized the community's unity and resilience, expressing their hope to further aid recovery efforts with future initiatives.

"One of the things that is evident is how much Kansas City is coming together and rallying around the people that have been affected by this. And one of the beautiful things that we have in doing this podcast is a wonderful community out there," added Jason in the touching clip.

The video resonated deeply with fans, as they praised the NFL stars for their compassionate response and call to action. The encouragement to donate to the affected families has inspired a powerful alliance between Swifties and The Chiefs Kingdom – both advocating for gun control in the United States.

This collaboration highlights fans' impact in supporting meaningful causes and pushing for change. The comment section has become a beacon of unity and activism, demonstrating how collective efforts can lead to positive societal shifts.
