In a showdown of country music's finest, Luke Combs emerges as the frontrunner for the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, boasting eight impressive nominations. Close on his heels are Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen – each securing six nods. Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, and Chris Stapleton follow suit with five nominations apiece.

Chapman's original composition of "Fast Car," which soared to success in 1988, finds renewed vigor in Combs' rendition, propelling it to country music stardom. The dynamic duo's collaboration brings a fresh perspective to the timeless track, earning them accolades at this year's ACM Awards.

Close behind Combs, Morgan Wallen revs his engine with a historic run on both pop and country charts, clinching six nominations. Wallen's album One Thing at a Time, a chart-topper for 18 weeks on the all-genre Billboard 200, vies for album of the year honors. While seasoned artists like Combs and Stapleton might anticipate such recognition, it's a significant milestone for Moroney, a critical darling still basking in the success of her debut album, highlighted by the chart-topping single "Tennessee Orange."

The highly anticipated show marks the third year of its exclusive streaming partnership with Prime Video, the ACM Awards continue to defy tradition, shifting from traditional broadcast networks to the digital platform. Set against the backdrop of the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas, the awards ceremony will stream live on May 16 at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT.

Fans can dive into the heart-pounding excitement with tickets now available on SeatGeek – their passport to the ultimate music celebration. But the party doesn't stop there! They can also immerse themselves in the rhythm of the nominees with the official ACM Awards playlist on Amazon Music.
