Paige DeSorbo: "No one was blindsided, no one was cheated on."
Paige DeSorbo is putting the rumors to rest once and for all. On the latest (Feb. 3) episode of Giggly Squad, the Summer House star opened up about her breakup with Craig Conover and set the record straight on those cheating allegations that have been circulating.
So, what's the truth? Let's break it down.
First and foremost, DeSorbo made it crystal clear that there was no cheating involved in her relationship with Conover.
She told listeners, "I'm saying this here and now, and I'm never saying it again. OK? I never in the three years that I dated my ex-boyfriend, ever physically cheated on him, emotionally cheated on him – can you mentally cheat on him? I don't know, but I didn't."
There you have it, DeSorbo stands firm in her integrity.
Although DeSorbo announced the split on December 30, she revealed on the podcast that she and Conover actually broke up much earlier during Thanksgiving weekend (November 2024).
According to DeSorbo, Conover was processing the breakup "in his own way," and they agreed to take their time before making any official statements.
DeSorbo explained, "Christmas came and went. Then, I saw that my ex-boyfriend was on a trip presenting himself as single, and I said 'Here we go, we're ready to announce,'" When she texted Conover letting him know she'd be sharing the news, she received no response. "I then texted him and said whilst he was on his trip that 'I'm going to say something on Giggly Squad and we can both start moving forward, it's been a month now.' My text went unanswered, fine."
Rumors quickly started swirling when DeSorbo was spotted with Joe D'Amelio at a Philadelphia Eagles game, leading some to believe she moved on with a new flame.
However, the reality star was quick to clarify and justify her actions.
"The narrative just took a turn really quickly that I had cheated, that I broke up with him like a week ago, moved on with some new guy," she said. "Let me say this here and now, I did not move on with some new guy."
DeSorbo explained that, even though they're public figures, some parts of their relationship should remain private. So, no, DeSorbo didn't hop straight into a new relationship right after the breakup – she simply moved on in her own time.
"It was a full month that we were broken up and I didn't say anything. Because, even though we are public, there are certain things that I think should remain private. So, once he was on a trip and being single…that is when I announced that we had our breakup."
The Bravo star reassured fans that there wasn't a specific "cheating moment" or drama behind the breakup. Instead, it was a mutual decision to go their separate ways after taking a long look at the relationship.
"Any of the other baseless rumors that have my name in them, they are not true," stressed DeSorbo. "When you're in a relationship, things happen in your relationship. You take inventory of them, you evaluate, and then you decide to go forth with that relationship. And that's what I did. I decided that I didn't want to go forth with that relationship. No one was blindsided, no one was cheated on."
Bravoholics have been waiting for DeSorboi to speak out on her split, and many are relieved to hear the truth straight from the source. After all, DeSorbo has always been known for her integrity, so the idea of her cheating never really added up for her followers.
As for her appearance with Joe D'Amelio? While DeSorbo didn't shut down the romance rumors, she kept it casual – leaving fans wondering whether there might be something more to that connection after all.
