The Mahomes family has expanded their team! On Monday afternoon (Jan. 13), Brittany Mahomes took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ third child, Golden Raye Mahomes.

In the heartfelt post, the couple held their newborn daughter’s tiny feet above a charming wooden sign displaying her name and birthdate: “•Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25🎀✨.” 

The post was flooded with love from Chiefs Kingdom, who flocked to the comments with congratulatory messages and warm wishes for the growing family.  

“ahhh congratulations ❤️” wrote popular DJ and influencer Xandra. “Uncle Jack loves her so much already ❤️,” added Jackson Mahomes. 

Brittany’s bestie, Taylor Swift, has yet to speak out about the birth, but Swifties expect the pop phenomenon to go the extra mile to welcome the little one into the world. 

Golden joins older siblings Sterling Skye Mahomes, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III,  2, rounding out the family of five. The Mahomes announced Brittany’s pregnancy in mid-July 2024, along with the exciting gender reveal. The timing of Golden’s arrival couldn’t have been more fitting, coming just days before the Chiefs kick off their playoff run, during the team’s well-earned bye week.  

While fans are thrilled for the couple, some can’t help but wonder: how will the birth of baby Golden impact Mahomes’ mindset as the Chiefs chase another Super Bowl title?  

The timing has sparked plenty of conversation among sports enthusiasts. Chiefs fans are hopeful that Mahomes’ ability to balance his growing family with his on-field brilliance will remain as sharp as ever. Others have speculated whether the quarterback’s late-night diaper duty might lead to distractions or even a newfound source of inspiration. 

One fan theorized, “If Mahomes wins another Super Bowl with a newborn at home, he might just be the GOAT of multitasking!”  

The Mahomes’ love story is as endearing as it gets. High school sweethearts, Patrick and Brittany began dating when he was a sophomore and she was a junior at Whitehouse High School in Texas. Fast forward to September 2020, Patrick proposed to Brittany in grand style, right after his Super Bowl ring ceremony, in front of a glowing “Will You Marry Me?” neon sign. They tied the knot in March 2022 during an intimate ceremony in Maui, Hawaii.
