The tea is no longer steeping – it’s officially boiling over.

Hulu’s hit reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives returned Tuesday (July 1) with its first-ever reunion special, and let’s just say... it did not disappoint.

Hosted by Bachelor alum and podcast provocateur Nick Viall, the reunion brought together nearly the entire cast (minus Demi Engemann) for a night of long-awaited clarity, unexpected confessions, and enough drama to make even the Real Housewives clutch their pearls.

From cheating scandals and legal threats to emotional breakthroughs and surprise career moves, the reunion gave fans closure on some of the messiest moments of Season 2 – while setting up even more intrigue for the upcoming third season.

Here’s everything that went down:

The Vanderpump Villa Scandal: Jessi vs. Marciano

The biggest elephant in the room? That explosive finale where Layla Taylor confronted Vanderpump Villa star Marciano about his alleged affairs with both Demi Engemann and Jessi Ngatikaura. Ngatikaura came ready with receipts, including text messages where Engemann described oysters in… well, not-so-G-rated terms.

Though Ngatikaura wasn’t wearing her wedding ring, she insisted things with her husband Jordan were on the mend and we’ll see more of their journey in Season 3.

Demi Engemann Drama

Demi Engemann may have been absent from the reunion couch, but her presence loomed large. Jen Affleck and Zac alleged Demi tried to coach Affleck's on-camera narrative to minimize fallout from Vanderpump Villa. When Affleck refused to play along, they say a cease and desist letter quickly followed. Zac even brought audio receipts of Engemann trying to shape Affleck's version of events.

Conner Leavitt's Confession

In one of the most gut-wrenching moments of the night, Whitney Leavitt’s husband Connor opened up for the first time about being sexually abused as a child. Previously criticized for his infidelity and Tinder use, Connor revealed that his behaviors stemmed from unresolved trauma and a years-long struggle with porn addiction. The confession was raw, powerful and met with a standing ovation (and hugs) from cast members, including Taylor.

Layla Taylor Opens Up About Mental Health

In unseen footage from Season 2, Taylor revealed the deep impact of her body dysmorphia and admitted she had struggled with self-harm. After her children noticed scars and asked questions, she sought help and has since stopped harming herself. The reality star said she’s in a better place now and removed the scars as part of her healing process.

Taylor Frankie Paul & Dakota Mortensen: Still Complicated

Despite cheating revelations while Taylor Frankie Paul was pregnant, she and Mortensen are still figuring out co-parenting and possibly more. The two were seen cozy at Stagecoach, and Paul acknowledged the door isn’t fully closed. Mortensen, who revealed he spent a decade battling drug addiction, says he’s finally in a place where he can be faithful… but the reality star isn’t sold just yet.

Whitney Leavitt & Mikayla Matthews Call a Truce

After months of tension, Leavitt and Matthews shared an emotional hug. Matthews, who once credited Connor Leavitt with encouraging her to go to therapy, said despite everything, she was grateful for his support. The two women didn’t fully reconcile, but they did find a sliver of common ground.

Surprise! Two Wives Join Dancing With the Stars

In a curveball announcement, Viall revealed that two Mormon wives are headed to the ballroom. Both Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt will be competing on Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, joining a cast that includes Robert Irwin and Alix Earle.
