Okay, fans, it's that time again – award show season! You know what that means: bold fashion, statement pieces, and unforgettable moments on the red carpet. The 2024 MTV Music Video Awards did not disappoint, and the stars served major looks!

From daring couture to nostalgic nods, here are the top 10 looks that left us all buzzing:

Addison Rae – Bridal But Make It Bold

Addison Rae had us all talking with her daring take on bridalwear. Rocking a white satin bra and panty set by Miss Claire Sullivan, she added an oversized tulle bustle that transformed the ensemble from bedroom chic to stage-ready drama. Feathers cascading from her bra and the bustle? Such a swan moment!

Tyla – Roots & Colorful Flair

Triple nominee Tyla turned heads with a look that channeled the vibrancy of her homeland. Straight from Area's Fall 2024 collection, her spaghetti-fringed corset top and matching mini skirt screamed fun! Paired with a turquoise necklace and coral strappy sandals, Tyla’s outfit was a perfect pop of color on the VMAs carpet.

Camila Cabello – Gothic Queen

Camila Cabello took us to the dark side in the best way possible. She channeled gothic bride vibes in a sheer black lace gown by Tony Ward Couture, complete with a matching veil. To complete the look, Camila returned to her signature deep brunette locks, accessorizing with layered cross necklaces that gave the ensemble extra edge.

Megan Thee Stallion – Opposites Attract

They say opposites attract! Well, Megan Thee Stallion played with contrasts in her VMAs look and it was very savage, very demur! Wearing a black Nicole + Felicia gown, she combined a sleek corseted top with a voluminous tutu skirt. Finishing off the look with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, Meg was the perfect balance of elegance and edgy as she prepped to host the show.

Katy Perry – Wet & Wild

Katy Perry brought a fresh-from-the-water fantasy to the red carpet. How could you not love this look? She rocked a shredded white bralette with a matching low-rise skirt, both from Who Decides War’s runway. The wet-look outfit draped perfectly, giving her that effortless goddess vibe as she strutted into the UBS Arena

Chappell Roan – Witchy Renaissance Realness

Chappell Roan went full witchy renaissance for her VMA debut! She made her entrance in a floor-length sheer gown with merlot and white accents, paired with a pistachio velvet robe. Gothic accessories like chainmail wrist cuffs and a longsword made this look a magical throwback to a bygone era.

 Lisa – Mugler Masterpiece

Blackpink’s Lisa embodied old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist. She wore a custom Mugler dress featuring a corseted bodice, semi-exposed boning, and draped fabric that was both dramatic and timeless. With shimmering details and a chic veil, Lisa said she wanted something "timeless and classic," and she absolutely nailed it!

GloRilla – Left Eye Homage

GloRilla paid tribute to TLC’s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in her reflective cropped jacket and oversized pants, complete with a sculptural hairdo. Channeling Left Eye’s iconic look from the 2000 Soul Train Awards, GloRilla honored one of many of her idols, while making the outfit entirely her own.

Halle Bailey – A Bold Monochrome Moment

Halle Bailey sliced through the competition at the 2024 MTV VMAs with a striking red ensemble. Bailey opted for a daring red bandage dress by Sophie Couture. The gown, embellished with swirling tube beads and bold cutouts at the waist and neckline, was both sophisticated and edgy. Her matching red Jimmy Choo shoes completed the monochromatic look, while minimal jewelry – Pandora earrings, bangles, and rings – kept the focus on the dress. Bailey’s fashion statement was bold yet effortless, perfectly blending classy with chic.

Sabrina Carpenter – Old Hollywood Glam with a Vintage Twist

Sabrina Carpenter brought timeless glamour to the 2024 VMAs, channeling Old Hollywood with a vintage Bob Mackie gown that’s no stranger to the spotlight. Madonna herself wore this same gown to the 1991 Oscars. The glittering white gown featured a sweetheart neckline and intricate silver beading, perfectly complementing her De Beers jewelry. Carpenter’s voluminous blonde curls and bright red lip gave us all the Marilyn Monroe vibes, while her dewy makeup and dreamy pinup lashes added a contemporary twist to this classic look.

From bridal-inspired drama to gothic chic and nostalgic tributes, the 2024 MTV VMAs proved once again that the night isn't just about music —it's about the unforgettable fashion moments that set social media ablaze. These stars brought their boldest styles to the red carpet, pushing boundaries and making statements that will be talked about for years. Which look stood out the most for you?
