Dance 1: Xochitl Gomez’s Finale Freestyle – Dancing with the Stars

Xochitl Gomez’s Finale Freestyle had even the most veteran DWTS fan’s jaws on the floor as they watched the fearless contestant hit every beat with delicious crisp movement. Stunning group work was buoyed by District 78’s “Que Calor,” concluding with Gomez being flung into the air and caught by partner Val Chmerkovskiy’s waiting arms. 10/10. Even Len wouldn’t be mad at that.

Dance 2: Jason Mraz’s Semi-Finals Paso Doble – Dancing with the Stars

If only one thing could be said about Jason Mraz’ performances this season, it would be that the man was beyond committed. Before the music even starts, Jason is in his plie, hands perfectly poised as horns. He was in charge the entire performance, not once showing signs of being tamed by handler Daniella Karagach. The knee/thigh slides across the floor mid-song are a particular favorite. Scott Hastings could never, we don’t care if he’s fictional...Daddy Jason showed him his Paso Doble and ate it up too.

Dance 3: Charity Lawson’s Disney100 Night Waltz – Dancing with the Stars

In a magical Disney100 Night, Charity Lawson and partner Artem Chigvintse waltzed effortlessly to fan favorite “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid. The duo were perfectly matched, relaxed, and easily displayed Ariel’s sense of wonder in the surface world for this dreamy dance. Lawson's ethereal floor spin at the end was especially breathtaking.

Dance 4: Lele Pons’ Latin Night Samba – Dancing with the Stars

From beat one, Lele Pons was it. She was everything. The marks? Hit. The face work? Devastating. Partner Brandon Armstrong was an amazing lead, fully capable of balancing out Lele’s fiery flair. Fueled by the infamous Daddy Yankee hit “Gasolina,” this dance was not for the faint of heart: splits to a lift to pose? You go, Lele.

Dance 5: Adrian Peterson’s Salsa – Dancing with the Stars

As soon as the classic Usher/Lil JonYeah!” beats could be heard, every former millennial club girl went wild. What he lacked in grace he more than made up for in charisma, footwork, and strength. Spinning, lifting, and holding his partner Britt Stewart no less than four times in a minute routine and not even coming close to breaking a sweat? If that’s not impressive to you, try it yourself. Actually, don’t. Please don’t.

Fan Of View: We can’t believe we’re saying this, but this was one of the absolute best of the season. From the field to the floor and still moves like that? Icon.
